Auramaru Posted July 9, 2014 Share Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) After REALLY digging into conclave, this is a small list of things I think need fixing, tell me if you agree: 1) There needs to be an additional UI thingy that tells you who your teammate is. If you miss the scorescreen thing that shows you who your teammate is, then you basically have no idea. Also note that sometimes your allies' symbol doesn't appear on the minimap at times, making it extra confusing. My idea for a solution on this would be to display a transparent name over your teammates' head that shows through objects on the map. 2) Helicopterring and slash-spinning does too much damage for how easy it is to hit. Some people have different stances on this... but it seems the majority of people agree that spin slashing is really OP and annoying to deal with (it's on the same level of "cheapness" as a loki going invis with black energy) 3) Knockdowns? I'm not talking jump-kick knockdowns. I'm talking about getting knocked down from 15 meters away from a Serro down-smash. It's ridiculous (even with knockdown recovery). Not sure if we can modify knockdowns so that they don't knock you down if you're mid-air, which actually makes sense as apposed to being mid-air above the person and their down-smash "knocks you down" DEFYING PHYSICS xD? 4) We need a null-zone for the ceiling (a invisible wall, or a *screen fades to black and you're back on the ground* deal). Not sure about other conclaves, but on Europa: this is a serious issue. People can get onto the roof of the building (not just those skywalk things), the actual freaking roof (glass roof above the burning crate). This is also up for debate, but most people would agree it's just a hassle to deal with the trolls. 5) Explosive weapons should be like 500-800 conclave points xD Or just flatout removed Might add more to the list. It takes some timing and skill to land it, and let's face it - normal melee attacks are completely useless in Conclaves. You don't have time to stand around and swing at your opponent. Slide attacks takes timing and skill to hit, and normal attacks are completely useless in PvP. Everything happens in a fraction of second, so if the guy lands the slide attack he deserved the kill. I agree with the problem you brought up on 1) but not with the solution, maybe there are better ways to know who is on each team, in this topic there are some suggestions: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/254268-team-colors-redblue-team-no-all-black-warframes/ 2) and 3) i can't agree with that, those are the only things that make melee viable in PvP. Knockdowns are not cheap, it's not the guy's fault that you are not using knockdown resistance mods. Complaining about Knockdowns is the same thing as complaining about Slide Attacks. About Slide Attacks i already said what i think. 4) My only comment about this is that i see that more as an Easter Egg. 5) Again i agree with the problem you brought up, but not with the solution. Explosive Weapons have to be balanced that's for sure, but a band-aid solution like increasing their Conclave Rating by 500 would not solve the problem. I think they should have their AoE range (so called Blast Radius) nerfed down by *at least* 2.0m and make it so that solid map objects (like walls) stop the Blast Radius, so if you are behind cover you will take no damage. In my opinion, this would solve the problems with Explosive Weapons on PvP. Auramaru Posted July 16, 2014 Author Share Posted July 16, 2014 After another week or so in conclave, I gotta say that I'm beginning to agree with Nimbat and Rexsol on the spin attacks. And I can now see that it DEFINITELY takes at least a little bit of timing, aim, etc. to be able to hit a spin attack. Knockdowns sort of seem to be more of a luck-based thing than anything. I still feel that knockdowns with two-handed (big) melee weapons need their radius reduced or something, argue away... simply voicing my opinion/feedback just like all of you... The penta/explosive weapon idea was just an idea. I'm game for other solutions. Something else that is super insignificant and needs fixing is the stupid chat bug. Players should be able to type when timers are going more so than any point in the match. It sucks when someone makes a sick shot/play, ending the round, and you have to wait 10 seconds before telling them it was a nice shot xD That's just an example, but whatever.
