i have no memory of this at all. they where NEVER going to do this with ANYTHING that was either Wraith or Vandal. they where going to be event only.

Archangel is correct. A wraith/vandal weapon has never been released from anything other than an event.

I think your misinformed. The devs said in a livestream that "Event weapons will return again for later events." So Strun Wraith could return for another event some time down the line.

They've only ever been very non-committal in answers to questions like this.  Basically saying that the only things truly exclusive are the original founders stuff and everything that has ever been in game or release COULD come back.

 

Never a mention of when or how.

Well to be honest still a little bitter about what damage 2.0 did to the StrunWraith.  The nerf to 15% crit kinda killed it, and the high status is awesome on the boarprime but less helpful on the StWraith.

Don't get me wrong they are beastly in comparison to the other shottys but they fall short where they should be viable.  They don't belong in a T3 mission and I wouldn't take the StWraith into a T2D/S or a tier 3 solar system defense or survival.

 

Part of the issue is that with damage 2.0 the physical damage mods need to calculate off total damage like the elementals.  Accelerated blast became worthless on both these guns.

 

Long and the short of it is I have a lot of weapons that outshine all shotguns and many that do should be on par at best.  Brakk is the best shotgun in the game and that is too bad because I LOVED the StrunWraith from the moment I picked it up until just after damage 2.0.  I defended it and said it wasn't broken by that but the fact I've barely touched it since then is an indication they are broken and need some help.  But I also believe a small nudge is all that is needed not a huge buff, but a buff all the same.
