Frost's Air Vents?

I was considering getting a set of shoulder plates for my Frost, but upon previewing them, I noticed the plumes of cold air on his shoulders don't disappear. Is this just a bug with preview, or do the plumes still remain when the plates are properly equipped?

I'm pretty sure the vents count as part of his default shoulder armour and get replaced by accessories. Oberon's curved spikes vanish too.

the vents are, but the gas remains. That's what the topic is about.
