For The Eventual Stealth 2.0, What If Your Color Scheme Mattered In Detection?

It's completely reasonable to assume that a completely white Excal will blend in more to the Sun as a completely black Excal will blend into the darker corners of a Grineer Galleon.

Could this be a thing?

EDIT: I understand the desire for cosmetic choice, however there's a wide color palette used in the game, from Void to Derelict you get the full spectrum.

You would just blend in better in some places better than others.

Default colors should be kept with no bearing on actual gameplay, and all attachments will not be counted in the calculation.

This is also for stealth only runs, it's not likely a large portion of the player base will start playing stealthy at any rate.

I can just see the complaints some players will make...

"Why is that neon pink rhino not setting off the alarm when he's shooting things with its neon orange ogris?!" -says the pure black ash who set off the alarm when the grineer saw half of a whisker on ash's locust helmet

I'd love some temporary optical camouflage though that would make Loki players pretty upset.

It's actually less of the invisibility effect and more of the "watch as your armor phases/pulsates to mimic the background" that appeals to me.

this would be great in a... hardcore Tactical Shooter. it's great in say, War Thunder, where visual spotting is an important thing. it's great there. but Warframe isn't that.

Warframe uses cosmetics as a source of revenue, and wants players to be creative with their looks.

if your colors would affect your ability to play the game, then people couldn't be creative anymore, and cosmetics would be P2W since you could be much harder to spot than someone else that hasn't bought cosmetic stuff.

Eh, Shade doesn't seem to bother them. A single use equipment item shouldn't be an issue.

i don't know why people would complain like that and if your ash has pure black energy or full pure black color, with the locust helmet, it looks like you're wearing glasses and the black energy makes you completely invisible when you activate smoke screen (not even your allies can see you)
