osheroth
I was thinking, Oberon is classified as a healer/damage dealer class -in other words, paladin-, yet his only heal related skill is kinda slugish and his damage dealing isn't great either so I came up with an idea: For those who aren't familiar with World of Warcraft, the paladins in that game have an abbility called Holy Shock (more info here: http://www.wowwiki.com/Holy_Shock), basically what it does is damage enemies targeted by it but can also be used to heal allies. Personally I think this would increase his utility in squads and just overall make him a decent warframe rather than a ignored one. Tarudizer
So sticking with the Holy Shock skill then, you'd have to target a friendly tenno to heal them. That is going to be....... difficult, to say the least. Some players fly erratically all over the place, sometimes they are not in line of sight (maybe an enemy is in front of you), and the targeting reticule is very small to accurately lock in to your target. Would also be quite a hassle to heal an ally when you want to damage an enemy and vica versa. HOWEVER, if the bouncy balls would either heal or damage (depending on who they hit first) as well, then it would be a great. Altough Smite isn't the skill I would have focused on in terms of change, but hey. Edited July 13, 2014 by Tarudizer
Kungpaobeef
I think smite is fine the way it is as it deals decent damage if you spam it. Renewal works as a healing ability but unless you max it out it's useless. slow regen does not work well while getting swarmed. My suggestion is to either increase regen for Renewal or as osheroth said above, switch one of Oberon's abilities to a healing one. I think hallowed ground should be swapped since it's useless. It deals more damage than smite but has a small AoE. To get enemies to stand in that small area would need you to lure them over which usually ends up with you getting shot. Moving to cover makes your enemies move to cover as well, hence they get out of your targeted area. Because of it's small AoE, it's useless for almost every type of mission mode except for maybe defense where you can cover the artifact with the flames but ranged units can easily avoid it. So far, I don't have any suggestions on what should be swapped for hallowed ground so......in the mean time im just gonna derp around and spam smite at people :
