IAmTheWar
Why not do something like..I unno..revamp the Raid mission so it's like an Exterminate with more than the usual enemies and ending with a type of raid boss that gives you good drops. uhh... I forsee teams with Nova, Loki and Vauban laughing at these sort of missions.. Nova spams her negative power strength with max power range and duration Molecular Prime, Loki Disarms them and Vauban throws out multiple vortex... gg Better idea: Nova M. Primes and Nyx Absorbs. GG game.

(PSN)AtlasXV
The point he was trying to make is that Nove speed them all up with reduced Overextended Prime, Loki disarms so they're forced to melee and set a decoy, then Vauban throws a vortex near decoy and nobody dies or ever really takes damage for that matter. As an added bonus, Nekros can desecrate everything killed in or by the vortex. But overall the idea isn't bad.. I just think that most low end PCs or possibly even consoles could handle that many AI on screen at once. It would be challenging, but you have to consider hardware limits for low and middle end PCs, as well as consoles. Sure, maybe a high-end PC could handle that kind of thing.. but the rest would be manageable at best. Can't think of just those that have spent thousands of dollar on a PC now can they? my laptop sucks so i know what you mean
(PSN)AtlasXV
Actually the guy was saying that MoPa can use MP to speed up enemies, Troki can disarm, and Booban can throw out Vortex to group enemies for you to one shot them with Ogris. Now you sure you play this game? Edit: Do not mean to offend. I do and i've been playing for a long time. Is it really fun to play with gimmicky things like that? Disrupting leaders sap your energy every frame listed with the crazy combos would be 2 hit if they're lucky. I had a PC account and started playing when volt was still a starting warframe, months before founders were purchasable. P.S loki has to get close for radial disarm. Same for nyx. Vortex just brings the leaders closer. Edited July 14, 2014 by (PS4)AtlasXV
Geezues
The idea is silly and idealistic because I can't imagine the tilesets, let alone the game engine itself being able to accommodate 1000 enemies. It sounds great but it's just an idea that kinda spits in the face of reality. I mean, I want a weapon that's a melee that switches from melee to primary like a gunblade and honestly mine is doable compared to yours.

Just a fraction of them. None of these things were mean't to be definite.

DJ_Redwire
I'm not a developer and have zero knowledge on how the game engine works, so I could be way off base here - but I think perhaps there could be a way to help alleviate the massive burden on the engine and network that a group of enemies this size would create - all the while organizing this type of level a bit. So the mission would still take place in a big gigantic ship or base as intended, but be broken up into stages. Basically you could have a nice big quadrant where you battle a few hundred enemies, then move to a new quadrant, and as you change locations to another big portion of the ship or base, the section you just finished disappears - and the new section spawns in its place. If my theory is correct, that might make it possible to have what 'seems' to be an enormous ship with hundreds of enemies, where in fact its just the map and enemies cycling to lessen the data load. A ballpark number that comes to mind to fit your vision of a battalion of enemies would be to perhaps split it into 4 groups of 200 each. And as an added bonus, each new quadrant could be slightly more difficult than the last. So as a more descriptive example of what I'm proposing: You enter a Corpus mothership. Your first objective is to eliminate the 200 crewmen on the flight deck where you landed. *epic battle on space dock with 200 enemies* You've secured the flight deck and proceed to the elevator to the engine and systems decks. *get in elevator* *previous map disappears* *new map and enemies spawn* *exit elevator into new map* Now your second objective is to secure these new decks. *more epic fighting* *repeat elevator and map cycle* Next objective is to secure the barracks. *you get the point by now* Final objective: fight your way to the Bridge and destroy the mothership Badda boom badda bing - mission complete Edited July 14, 2014 by DJ_Redwire

Like you said 200 per room with increasing levels, normally it's spread out through a entire ship. I understand that it would be extremely difficult to do, especially without the game crashing. Telapoopy
I could imagine such a mission as for an event or one of the new quest missions, not as something implemented for regular gameplay.

-Vane-
I would rather have missions with 1000 enemies but low-level ones. Already imagined update screen! Update 15 -New Hack&Slash mode! 1000+ enemies!!
KiteoHatto
i just wish warframe had a difficulty slider in the lobby, sorta like diablo3 does now. Enemies have increased hp (%) and damage but they also drop more mats and higher quality loot
(PSN)friedricetheman
I concur that with a high powered team setup, the 1000 enemies would be a cake walk. I am a farmer and a lot of players on PS4 have seen me farming for mods, prime parts and rare mats. I am pretty much the the go to guy if you are in my friends list for anything... I have done a lot of farming setups and believe me when I said that no matter what the level of the mobs are, as long as 3 corrosive projections are equipped and everyone is using multi forma Ogris, they might as well be level 1's... VYR3
I was woundering if a massive extermination mission was possible with very strong enemies LVL (40 - 75)? This would require team synergy to win. Even with a group of novas this would be a extremely difficult mission. Enemies would come in groups of like 100 with a very large mixture of enemy types. These missions would be key required missions so people know what they're getting into. This would pose a nice challenge without having to wait around in survival missions. I know there are other difficult missions but I thought this could be a fun idea. The rewards would have to be EPIC though. ( 10+ orokin cells, 30 rare 5 fusion cores, 100 oxium, ect.). Rewards could be based on how quickly you could complete the mission . We kill hundreds of enemies in in a long survivals, why not this. I would like the communities thoughts on this. Many players are just able to rely on their abilities to utterly destroy everything. if most of the enemies were lvl 70 or maybe a few lvl 90's maybe people couldn't spam ult's to beat everything making them use a combination of powers and weapons to win. I'll play this vs corpus, I dont want 100 rollers humping my leg. also mag prime looks back the the SS event and giggles, everyone said it was hard as I used shield polarize and pulled everything that survived. :) only thing that lived was the occasional crew man who got a taste of my dex furis :
GStonez
Really good Idea, hope they consider this. Though I don't think the rooms can handle that and performance might not be good. Performance is the main problem and they might have to make a tenno coliseum in order for us to take on that much enemies at a time
DSpite
I just like blowing stuff up (Note: in games). I was blowing stuff up when the internet didn't exit In Descent on a LAN, greatly enjoyed blowing stuff up in the Borderland series, with some Tower defense in Dungeon Defenders and then I found Warframe, where I can cover everything in antimatter and THEN blow them up. Don't really care about extra rewards, just bring Suspicious Shipments type missions and plonk them on the maps, so we can solo or team up and go do them. I don't give a damn about getting wiped, we can just start again anyway, and really, after playing EVE Online, failure in Warframe is just an inconvenience, and not a form of punishment anyway. osheroth
Hahaha good one! Booben throws down vortex Nova m primes it All enemies in there are affected by 60 m prime explosions Nekros desecrates the piñata Invincible Loki cleans up anyone left Besides the fact that the game couldn't handle it this would just make for super campy strategies of sitting on a vortex. he radial disarms them, know the difference, Ash is the invisible killer. LasersGoPewPew
i've been wanting a mission like that......... maybe if the enemies capped at a certain level per planet for the mission type, because bytime we do get to kill off a thousand enemies they'll be level 70-80 or so and take an entire mag at a weak spot to widdle their health down. (it wouldnt' be a survival, it'd be a supercharged Exterminate.)

OrphanMaker
How about a "True" war between factions? Every once and awhile the Grineer and Corpus would break out it a huge battle. And we could choose which side to fight with, kinda like we do now. But we go into a mission on a somewhat open area, and fight the 1000 enemies from the other side. That would be cool.
