Weapon Choice?(Ash)

I tried to ask in the Region chat in-game but it's plagued with obscenities and vulgar text. I primarily play Nova, Ember Prime or Zephyr but I recently started working on an Ash.

 

I am currently using the Nikana as my weapon until I get the Dragon Nikana and I am wondering if there is a better weapon choice for Ash until I get the D.Nikana. Or perhaps a weapon suggestion that is better than both Nikanas.

I would actually suggest two very different setups.

 

Dakra with Crimson for restoring health with Life Strike, or Zorens with nothing but Fury, Truesteel, and Berzerker, to stack up combo counter very quickly before activating Bladestorm.

 

Edit: I use something like http://goo.gl/sq1YAd with my Bladestorm focused Ash, and rely on health orbs / restores for healing. Tough to give up Life Strike but quickly stacking combos to do 2-2.5x damage with the nuke works amazing with a 75% efficient build.

 

You can compromise with a damaging Dual Ichors with all the speed mods and Life Strike, but it's a lot harder to build the combo counter when you're doing tons of damage.
