RawGritz
This is an article about his new F2P game Bluestreak. It's a good read and you see his insight on Free2Play games. But he gives a nod to Warframe and League of Legends as examples of 2 games that are not pay-2-win. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/07/11/bluestreak-cliff-bleszinski/#more-219041

RawGritz
...And this is why they should stay inDEpendent. Very good point. I can't even profess to know the specifics of the seemingly impending deal--with Sumpo and Perfect World... But Warframe is being likened to another incredibly well-balanced and successful F2P game. LoL developer Riot Games is a subsidiary of Tencent Holding, sure. But Tencent is no PW. More than a few employees have left PW to go to Riot. Just food for thought... -HAKUNA-YOUR-TATAS-
It's true... Despite all of the naysayers and negativity mongers here I can say after messing around with Warface and Ghost Recon Phantoms, I'm much happier with Warframe's system of F2P. I mean really... The only thing we really need to pay for is inventory space and cosmetics. Everything else can be had by simply playing the game. No weapon/armor/suit decay, no paying for keys. (We can farm void keys instead of buying them.) Players can even farm for platinum in Warframe too. I'm very happy to keep supporting Warframe if it all stays this way. I hope that the recent acquisition, etc. doesn't affect this though.

I have worked for and written much about free-2-play games and companies. Warframe and League of Legends are really well structured. So it was really nice to see the nod from from CliffyB, a well-known and supposed triple-A game developer. -HAKUNA-YOUR-TATAS-
IMO it would be awesome if Cliff Blezinski took all of his money and bought into Warframe, to infuse a "Gears of War" like budget and development team to push Warframe to the next level. I mean all this game really needs is more mission variety (better boss fights and quests?) and a story. If anything the Gears of War franchise had those two things done right.
