Mr.Intrepid
This is just a quick topic, don't know if anyone else has said anything on this recently but I think Transmutation is messy. I just transmuted 12 rares to get 3 common. I transmuted 4 uncommon and got an uncommon. Sooo what's with that? I also think the price is extremely steep. If the prices don't change I think the credit reward for void keys should be higher. I think T3 keys should be around 24k and T4 keys should be what T3 keys use to be (76k I think?). Thanks for listening to my crap. Discuss...
ZizWing
Honestly credits aren't really a problem once you get to the somewhat "late-game." As for the common mod rewards... Transmutation used to include warframe abilities and such (aka useless mods). With a certain update they removed those mods from transmutation thus making it much more viable. To balance it out they gave rare mod transmutation a chance to reward common or uncommon mods too. I know it's annoying but it keeps it a bit balanced. Mr.Intrepid
I'm already slightly late-game (300 hours) but I only have around 250k credits. Everytime I get to like 500k I try to transmute. I guess I'll just stop transmuting.
Vilemyre
Transmutation needs to be a recipe system. The whole "gamble" no doubt puts people off the idea of using it.

The "gamble" is what keeps me doing it, spending 500K to a million credits at a time on it. I am a gambler by nature, and that is obviously the appeal to me. If it were more of a predictable recipe, I would not do it.
rangeless
we can mitigate costs if we are guaranteed a rare again.....CMON DE MAKE IT HAPPEN! I am tired of paranoia relating to the commons i get like 75% of the time from fusing 4 rares! Edited July 16, 2014 by rangeless

Which one would you prefer, a common which is mostly useless, or an ability, which you can throw back in with 3 other rares for a different rare? .Fire_Fly.
yes yes I think t4 credit reward should be alot more then just 24k credits i'd be happy if it was 50k all that work and its like you dont get anything really good out of it

Aaand you're completely telling untruthful information that you believe its true. DESteve commented on this more than a year ago in a live stream. If you transmute 4 rares the outcome should be always rare. Since then I raised the topic over and over for more than a year now. Numerous support tickets, numerous topics. The issue is overlooked, not cared about at all. It's a known bug, known issue with probably broken rarity detection. They leave it like this even though I got support responses that "they look into it ASAP" then they closed my tickets numerous times. This is the reason why I never trust what DE say. I love the game but If someone say something on livestream that cannot be trusted in honesty, they change their minds and point of view just as much as the wind changes direction... Burnthesteak87
Got Gleaming Talon, Crimson Dervish, 2 Tranquil Cleave, the most of the rare stances i have. It's a fair tool if you have some mods and credits to spend.Ofc you shouldn't use it unless you are leveling weapons and mods.BTW some dudes have really to chill down, it's $&*&*#(%&ly ridicle blaming DE Staff about an optional tool wich you aren't forced to use.One of the best F2p games with one of the nicest staff ever and you come out with those phrases? This is the reason why Inever trust what DE say. Are you really this paranoic on a totally F2p game? That used to be the case yes. They changed it when they removed ability mods from the transmutation table. The thing that bothered me most about this is that they never mentioned it. Never in any update post. Only Megan gave us a vague hint in a post thats how its supposed to be.Current transmuation is not balanced. It costs a ton in credits and mods. That itself should be balanced. Adding common/uncommons only makes it unfair and not worth it most times. Edited July 17, 2014 by kubbi
TMHowler
The lack of balance is what makes it exciting - like any gamble mechanic throughout the variety of games out there. Take the risk to get something good (or bad) or leave (in our case cancel) with what you have.

But like other gamble game, I'd like to know the percentage of win / loose, but in transmutation we don't know.
Brasten
Slot Machine is a Slot Machine. Best odds for the house to bleed you dry. Also in real gambling Casinos must report to regulatory agencies and disclose their odds. DE deliberately hides theirs.
