Prologue Redux: Hidden Codex == Helios Freakout

I'm redoing the prologue, which means all my ship systems are hidden. When I try to access my Codex, I am presented with a white X on a black background, even though I had completed over 90% of all entries beforehand.

Unfortunately, when I go on a mission, my Helios sentinel now thinks, "Codex entry not found. Begin scan." And thus he starts trying to scan EVERYTHING, completely wasting the film in my codex scanner. Wasteful twice over, because my Codex entries should already be full, and any new scans are going to dev/null until I get it back online.

Guess I will have to use Carrier until I hit the quest to restore my Codex.
