Akzani Really Needs A Change

Because right now it's just a striclty worse dex furis:

They even come with the same polarity.

 

Sure use whatever weapon you want, but objectively speaking there is no reason to ever use akzani if you have dex furis; it needs a buff in at least one area, either give it a massive clip, more damage in a different area (slash?) or raise the firing speed.

 

I mean now I have to use a catalyst to bring it close to dex furis performance (which came with a catalyst) and it would still be worse.

well, it DOES have about double the ammo capacity, but it disappears almost just as fast.

 

Also, not everyone has a DexFuris.

Doesn't really matter if not everyone has it, it's just a uninspired, worse copy stat wise.

Your only argument was that if there is no point in using it if you have dex furis.

So, everyone has dex furis? That's new.

There are other guns you can argue this with(Seer/Lex Prime, Gorgon(wraith)/Soma), and then, you go for an event weapon for the better one.

It really doesn't matter if you have dex furis or not, the gun exists and people have it, and for them akzani is objectively not worth it.

 

And the wraith weapons are upgrades for their non wraith weapon, the dex furis is the upgrade for the afuris, the akzani is completely unrelated; and, save for the machete wraith, they actually aren't strict upgrades:

The gorgon does more puncture and slash compared to gorgon wraith

The Vipers do more slash compared to vipers wraith

The strun does more puncture compared to strun wraith

 

The akzani is unrelated to the dex furis yet it does everything worse.

 

Also did you just compare seer to lex prime? Seer does even damage across types like sybaris, lex prime specialises in puncture damage, they aren't even remotely the same.

Basically, Akzani is only useful for lvling your mastery rank. Other than that, it's really not worth it. Unless they buff it, which I doubt they will. Although it looks pretty good. Ah well.

It's great that you are able to make assumptions without actual numbers, for all we know more people have dex furis than those who don't. As long as you don't actually know, comments on it are worthless.

 

And your seer/lex prime comparison is then every-gun-in-that-category/lex prime, which is incredibly asinine as they all have different stats to each other; pointless argument and only exists for arguing's sake.

Your sarcasm is terrible and only works if the guns you mentioned were related to the dex furis, which they aren't, which is why they have completely different stats, which is why they are different guns, which is why they have different names, which is why your sarcasm is terrible, which is why you are missing the point.

edit: waiting for Reizo to produce a data sheet which details the current user base, with weekly play time, weapon preference and the having or not a Dex Furis, and then having Lotus to certify that as legit for us, so we can be certain that he is not making assumptions biased on his own experience and as such we all should listen to him.

Uhm I'm not making any assumptions, this is the problem with people not getting the point, S#&amp;&#036; derails into things that are unrelated.

I clearly said you can use whatever weapon you want if you feel like it, but that simply stat wise there is nothing interesting about the akzani; I never made assumption on whether or not people own the dex furis or not, I made a comparison solely on the fact that it exists.

 

And then I made a suggestion on how to make the gun more unique/interesting for all parties, so how is this a bad thing?

the comparison on fact that a limited edition exist is the main problem of your post which makes people ignore the rest even if its valid or not.  we have machete wraith don't we? well i don't 

 

if its so much like dex furis as you claim :

a) its magazine pool is already the biggest a secondary can carry and allows only 2 reloads which makes a larger one kinda pointless.

 

b) the slashing "may" work for setting it appart, but getting an overall weaker damage type will make it even worse against dex furis.

 

c) it already burns the clip too fast having only 2 reloads makes it a really inefficient gun and that would make it overall worse.

 

there i gave consideration to your proposals (ignoring the fact that they were based on a flawed logic) and by my standards they are also kinda bad ideas

i guess you could suggest one is changed to lean towards critical and the other towards stat perhaps, but there's just so much 2 weapons in the same category can set themselves appart

or how about reduced fire rate and damage but getting reduced recoil or spread

or changing the trigger from full auto to consecutive burst making it more in line with a "hold trigger" "faster firing" sicarus. that would set it appart
