Impossible Rank 1 Test

well I guess it is possible, but it seems I'll need to go a long way before I can buy a weapon strong enough to get through those beasts.

 

I started playing a week ago (maybe) and I can't get through the first rank.  on my third try, I thought I had it but that was only the first wave and I found out there are 3... I don't think it is possible for me to succeed because enemies are just too tough.  I report this here as a bug because it seems to me that a level 1 rank test should be easy even for beginners to pass and I'm nowhere near an inexperienced player in shooters.

 

I watched a rank 1 test playthrough and enemies fell easy enough. his test was nowhere near as tough as mine... he even had extra time to make a sandwich waiting for the last enemy in his second wave to show himself...

 

 

just so you know, I play a loki, with the MK1 rifle and though I'm a beginner at this particular game, I can't see how this would be intended by devs.

Well, with 25k credits you can buy the "BRATON" which is stronger, and faster. Try with that, and if that doesn't work then there could be a glitch.

I can buy the blueprint I think, but I can't complete it before I get the components.  is that right?

 

if so, I still have to play to get them and I would have enjoyed it more if I could complete the weapons I really wanted and still complete the tests..

This issue needs tweaking.

Made an ALT account and I can confirm finally reaching 5hrs and using Exalibur as starter I passed with the Braton, getting serration and upgrading other essential mods.

Tips:

*Use warframe abilities

*Upgrade damage and elemental mods

*Use better weapons

*High shields is a plus

*turning aim sensitivity higher makes killing more of them faster and results in a better chance to end each round before timer hits zero.

Corpus are not player-friendly in the beginning game and this test shows me its tougher than most MRs leading towards the higher ones.

Theres players like samuel willing to get your gear and Tenno skills 'prepared' in order to Ninja your way past MR0 and beyond!

was it harder than your first try?  this said, you should have tried loki :-P  I understand the fact that upgrading the right weapon with the right mods will help, BUT it still feels like a discouraging first rank test in my opinion for new players.  I'm not easily discouraged by hard games so I'm reporting it as a bug or a suggestion if it was supposed to be that way

 

The game seems really nice though with a lot of possibilities and I will probably contact Samuel when I get the chance because there is a lot of trial and error up til now, but it seems I'll be giving it a shot past midnight.  

 

can I use warframe abilities in the first rank test? if so it opens up a lot of possibilites.  I thought I could not.

Being a Veteran Player and starting over, it was the hardest test leading to MR8, its harder than even MR14 and MR16!

If I were a new player I would be definately discouraged and move on to a new game since certain things you want are locked within Mastery Ranks.

I ranked up few weeks ago to attend to my brothers wedding, help with the great flood and family related issues.

*Pre-update 13.7 you could use abilities

using radial disarm,  boosted shield, boosted health, one revive and a rank 11 braton I managed to succeed..  still too hard for new players in my opinion, but who am I to judge..

 

with that success bolstering me I went alone in the exterminate tower I and managed to pull through.  this was immensely fun as I had to manage my depleted ammo.

I had a nasty time and it took many tries, but I have friends who have been playing forever and don't mind playing with me, a not so powerful compared to them. They helped me a LOT by having me join the clan and giving me a few harder to get mods that went a long way, I'm looking at you Serration!. Also just used the Braton for LV 1.Eventually with adding a bit of damage (just a few levels up of serration) helped immensely. 

 

Still don't have that mod built to full and have actually found a few on my own out in the wild. It is your friend if you can get one.  Else it's just move fast, shoot all you can.

Well Ive been away past couple days but should we post a topic regarding MR1 test in General Discussion? I mean with the 'New' user experience in U14 it would get attention and hopefully DE can implement this change.

Many have as you mentioned 'quit' moreso of locked utilities further in the game. This new update will simply counteract with the test problem and intentionally make it the 'bad new' user experience.
