Chaosdreamer
Oh for the love of. Are you that angry that you have to play a bit more to level up your weapon? And then people complain that they get bored with nothing to do after leveling up everything. What? In the end we're at the same step nothing change just the time to rank up bad weapons is more and harder to do , so you think it's fun to rank up the same weapon so much long? and think when you forma it , I had rather nothing to do than taking 5/10 time bad/weak weapons theire people with more than 1500++ hour of games play I dont see the problem
RealPandemonium
FFS, instead of vaguely stating that you used to be able to level things faster go into missions and see if the shown affinity numbers are higher or lower than before. I have only noticed that Leader xp is no longer higher, myself.

Aeriax
Playing a mission that should have given my Braton (picked one up again because I feel the need for a basic primary with little gimmick to it) a good chunk, maybe a quarter of a rank's worth of affinity gave an amount that didn't actually budge the slider. Furthermore- I built Zephyr yesterday, and what's this? She's remarkably weak without very many mods. I'm having a lot of difficulty rectifying that situation, too, because affinity just... It almost doesn't even trickle anymore. It's just a couple of drops, from things that would've at least given me some small chunk of a rank. I almost think this is a bug, and not a nerf, because it's incredibly heavyhanded and directly interferes with progress through the game, IMO. Witchhammer
I almost think this is a bug, and not a nerf, because it's incredibly heavyhanded and directly interferes with progress through the game, IMO. Megan already posted it in the bug list post U14, so i hope it will be considered as a bug. I think DE would have communicated it to the playerbase (at least i hope so) if they changed anything that important to the gameplay
Wardvn
Something is definitily up with the xp gain. This was the result of a 15 wave Sachura run on Pluta Edited July 26, 2014 by Wardvn
Hafilgar
Something is definitily up with the xp gain. This was the result of a 15 wave Sachura run on Pluto. XP gain is about the same except for eximus xp nerf. I think the issue is that they increased amount of xp you need per level, that's why it's so slow.Took me 10 waves on sechura to get from 27-
Wardvn
Why would they do that without letting the community know? The game is already pretty grindy. And by increased how much xp it takes to level has made it a lot worse. If this is a permanent thing I might just stop playing. I don't want to spend hours upon hours leveling up a set of weapons. Vanadium
It's hard for me to tell if this one's just a bug or just a straight up stealth nerf. Between level compression, affinity spliting, and this Eximus xp nerf, it's becoming more painful to even get 3 polarities on a gun, which when you can start putting interesting builds on a gun. It's true I'm running out of things to do, but that doesn't mean I want to spend my time grinding xp for weapons. I already have a 5-polarity Dread and Brakk and a 2 polarity Orthos Prime. I really don't have a reason to forma any other weapon in the game, other than to make fun builds with fun guns. But the constant XP nerfs are making it difficult to have fun with the mod system, especially with all these polarities-not-included new guns. Kubrows are bad enough of a grind. The Void is bad enough of a grind. I remember how much of a grind it was to max the necessary 10-rank mods, Those haven't changed, and that's enough of a grind and the true grind for weapon effectiveness. It should remain the only grind for weapon effectiveness. At least reduce the affinity needed after each Forma. Would help a lot.

Witchhammer
Tried another one fully Equipped this time to see if theres a spread between the weapons.Amprex lvld again and showed it ingame after completing the "get 10 melee kills" challenge gave 5k.So for a 5 minute cambria survival this is quite ok and xp might have been returned to normal level.Anyone else can give me some feedback ? RealPandemonium
XP works like this: Kills made with a weapon = 50% to that weapon, 50% to warframe, 0% to the other weapons. Kills made with warframe abilities = 100% to the warframe, 0% to weapons. Kills made by teammates (radial xp) = 25% warframe, 25% primary, 25% secondary, 25% melee (4-way spread.) Affinity orbs, casting abilities (the number displayed is not the power cost, but an affinity reward equal to the base power cost,) completing challenges, hacking, reviving teammates, and all those miscellaneous rewards count as radial exp and are subject to the 4-way spread. Sentinels get their own "copy" of XP and don't interfere with your other equipments' XP. Use this information to figure out what's going on. Jaimas
I don't know if it's tied to the issue or not, but I can report dramatically reduced affinity gains since U14 hit. What used to be a relatively short process to make a weapon more viable (Forma-ing it) has become a truly unpleasant grind, made worse by the fact that PuGs won't stick around for more than 5 waves of most Defense missions, since they're trying Credit Farming. Now, I didn't take screenies pre-patch, but I do damn well know how long it took me to properly level weapons I forma'd up on Sechura, Tikal, and Romula. Level gain of 15 or more for first mission was common, and on Sechura, getting a weapon to max within a few hours of mission-grinding was quite possible. Now, I've found myself endlessly grinding Romula (one of the only zones where players stick around past wave 10), use pretty much nothing but the weapon(s) i'm trying to level and the errant frame power, and I'm lucky to get 1-2 levels on a level 20+ weapon if I got to wave 20. And I have an XP booster courtesy of the last Prime Access. The worst offender was the Akzani. Getting that repeatedly Forma'd to the point where it was actually worth a damn took me over a week of off-and-on progress. Something's not making sense here. I really look forward to seeing what the reason actually is. Edited August 7, 2014 by Jaimas
