Mirage, And Why I'm Beginning To Dislike Her

Mirage is proving to be a problem.

 

Don't misunderstand, I love the idea behind the Frame. Making her an illusionist is fantastic. However, her clone ability...that's creating performance issues.

 

Any Mirage using continuous beam weaponry, an Ignis, an Ogris, or anything with explosions causes massive amounts of frame lag. Massive to the point of I've had a Mirage lag me out so badly that I died because of it.

 

Perhaps a review of the clone ability needs to be done, and perhaps reduce the number of clones from 4 down to 2. I'm sure other players will appreciate not being lag-pwned due to some Mirage player spamming explosions.

Or reduce the visibility or amount of explosives being shot by the clones. I dont think its the clones that are causing the frames to drop, but the extreme amount of explosions happening at once. 

 

Or just dont use big boom weapons.

Never had performence problem with warframe no amtter what abilites were casted and how many or how much explosion, enemys and so on were on the screen. But when i use Ahll of mirrors at max level and shoot with the boltor my framerate drops so low its unbelivable (and that was in a solo game during an exterminate mission after all enemys were dead)

Game is in the bad state now, not only Mirage. Try doing any Void over 15 mins and you will see what i am talking about.

 

 

Last t3 Defense got me from 50+ fps to 15 fps.

even the main player ship gives me a mere 30 fps (I could play every mission on max settings with 60 fps)

Zephyr's tornado used to cause massive network lag when she first came out, along with losing loot and breaking missions. All fixed now though. Just be patient they got a truckload of worse bugs to fix at moment.

I tanked someones pc to 2-4 fps while the guy normally has about 60. 4 clones with phage is one hell of a hit on others. still, this needs to be optimized properly. not nerfed.

Knowing DE, they will nerf her instead of optimizing.

Personally I don't even think the holograms should do damage at all.  It's a first power, which means it only costs 25 energy.  Compare to Loki's Decoy power in how good it should be.  This business of multiplying all player damage output is just stupid for a first power.  The holograms should show muzzle flash but not actually fire projectiles or cause damage.

Mirage causes severe performance issues and gamebreaking bugs. I was in a defense mission with 2 mirages and everything was going fine up until around wave 20 when the clone ability the clones never despawned and my game became increasingly slower and slower. Needless to say it was mere seconds away from wave 25 and being able to leave the mission when my game crashed and exploded. 

 

1 mirage slows my game down marginally and generally is ok. 2 mirages turns it into a slideshow, I imagine 3 or 4 would instantly crash me. I just don't know how DE imagined an ability where you triple or quintuple or X20 the number of warframes on screen and expect there not to be performance issues. 

 

That isn't even getting into the fact that the ability in and of itself is massively OP for not even being her ult. That being said I love her look and the idea and I can't wait to play her I'm just afraid that doing so will crash my game any time I get put into a group with another mirage.

I crashed exactly af 30 min survival after steady fps decrease so I know what you mean. And mirage does have a noticeable impact on fps and can cause crashes with non hits can weapons

I'm sorry, but a "Review" is not the solution. As a host, she's OK, but as a Client, she is a horrid wreck to computers everywhere. She just needs to have Host/Client fix issues.

it is quite bad tbh, i tried the miter, and, my god there were discs everywhere and my frame rate dropped from around 100 to 20 for a couple of secs, but you also have to use common sense, a weapon with a visible projectile, like the miter, i would expect to have an effect on fps from the sheer amount of objects that get left on the ground, hell boltor prime looks like a herd of wild porcupines have had a party on the floor and walls but they objects vanish quickly

 

explosions are a different story, theres not really anything you can do about that, but i dont use explosive weapons a lot so its not an issue for me, im sure DE will look at this and fix it just like they did with zephyr tornadoes, they more urgent bug related issues atm im betting
