Poems for FLOW clan

Hilarious Pictures not enough to convince you? Fear not! Joining flow might increase your skill in Poetry by 300%!

See the Tenno go to war,

Watch the bodies hit the floor.

Lotus whispers in our ear,

"The target hides from us in fear."

Glaives slice through the night

A Scindo's cleave ends the fight.

Into the void we slip away,

Blood was spilled; we earned our pay.

The Tenno will strike again.

The Lotus tells us where and when.

These sick rhymes could be yours! Whatareyahwaitngfor?

To encourage group play.

Recruiter Dras has been away

The clan thread moves a page a day.

Motherboard ended in flames

RMA pending, 3 weeks till games.

Went for a hospital stay

(relax, I'm totes okay).

Guys eat bananas for real

drinking potassium's a raw deal.

No more Amoxicillin,

that stuff causes me illin'

Meme's have brought the lol's

I've crashed on our humorous shoals.

A nap is totally pending

keep the awesomesauce unending.

My flowetry brings Tenno to our yard,

And they're like "Ain't that hard?"

Damn right, but I'm Flows bard.

Rhymes so fat they're made of lard.

What? you're trying to out rhyme me

With floems golder than a primed 4 key?

Words start flying, things getting intense,

Then I put you on endless defence.

Cuz my rhymes are a call to battle,

Better listen up cuz this aint prattle.

Your rhymes are sick but they stand alone.

I got backup. I'm in the flowzone.

Stalker can't get me but you want to try?

My backsides covered by THE 2Ply.

Here's a better plan oh worthy foe

Let's rhyme together, join clan Flow.

Clan invite request responses:

Started playing 8 days ago, have 60 hours so far... needless to say I'm hooked. Now all I need is a clan for delicious delicious voice chat

Invite was sent,

we must lament.

A clan or invite blocks you.

I pity the foo,

who misses the chance

to join this dance,

by the lack of a pending clan list.

if you could assist

We'll shoot you another,

and you'll be our brother,

For Fun for Loot for Flow!

Also in case you don't know:

This offer turns sour

At the midnight hour

Pacific Daylight Savings,

We put an end to our cravings,

for new blood in our clan

so you better hop to it man.

Swizter looking forward to getting hot in here. Got a few mats to contribute.

So sorry to say

a clan or invite is in the way.

Not to ruin your day,

clear it up, and with our clan you could play.

Oh god my sides! Let me join!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now that we have torn your sides asunder,

We're more than happy to take you under

Our glorious, flaming, phoenix like wing,

And help you in gaining all of the bling.

This poem is to welcome you to the show,

That is the antics of Clan FLOW.

Sadly I must report,

(with this clever retort)

That your inbox is currently filled,

by the invite of another guild.

Of course I could be wrong,

and you march to another clan's song.

but whatever the case, I must request,

(better listen 'cause I don't jest),

That you follow my simple plan

and leave your current clan.

Or clear any invite pending

So I can get on with Sending,

A delicious invite to FLOW

Topped with a pretty bow.

Entry for "A Quest Unknown" Contest: Wherefore Art Thou Tenno?

I hope this original enough for the contest, it takes place within cannon lore. This is the story of a Tenno's quest for identity. 500 Words (ignoring title):

Wherefore Art Thou Tenno?

He couldn't remember what had started it all, but then he couldn't even remember his own name. The first things to greet him in this world were the voice of a guardian angel and the bullets of the enemy.

2014-02-14_00002_zps53e066de.jpg

The voice said "You must run, Vor is coming" and he ran, right into the degenerate face of a monster. The thing before him was a gross parody of a man, twisted and grotesque. Where it's own atrophied limbs ended in stumps, crude mechanical contraptions acted as leg and hand. The creature sneered at him and spat the same name the angel had whispered only moments before "Tenno".

2014-02-14_00003_zps5145be75.jpg

Without hesitation the creature ripped a device from it's chest and lashed out at him. The Tenno fell in paralyzing agony as energy from the device tore through him. It couldn't end this way, he had only just awoken, only just begun to live again. He struggled in vain against the debilitating pain and the unconsciousness that threatened him with every breath. As everything faded to black three almost familiar figures descended on Vor.....

2014-02-14_00005_zps9f02e56b.jpg

......That was six months ago. Now he was stronger, faster, better equipped. He knew his purpose and the purpose of the others like him. He had learned the name of his angel; his Lotus. He had learned of his enemies too; their strengths and weaknesses, their name: Grineer. He had carved a bloody path through their ships; augmenting his arsenal with their own.  He had taken a Hind from the very first Elite Lancer whose throat he slit and cleavers from the Butchers who had cut up his squad mates. He had even turned a pair of Grineer nail guns stolen from their shipyards into weapons of destruction. Yet no matter how many missions he completed for the Lotus, his own identity remained just out of reach; glimpsed only in dreams and locked behind Vor's laughing face.

2014-02-18_00002_zpsf6b06d01.jpg

Then he received the message from Lotus that he had both dreaded and desired. The time to end Vor had come. As he prepared himself for his mission he could barely stop his hands from shaking. He would have the chance to silence that laughing face once and for all, the chance to finally understand who he was. With the Lotus's gentle guidance he tracked Vor to a Grineer asteroid base in the orbit of Mercury. Intel said Vor was there to inspect the base. The Tenno readied his weapon and cleared his mind. There could be no mistakes, no alarms. A few shots from his silenced Hind made quick work of the workers and the Lancers shadowing Vor. With the path now clear to his target the Tenno dropped down and drew his cleavers. The first blade struck the small of Vor's back incapacitating him, The second was poised to slit Vor's throat. "Who are you?", Vor Demanded. For an instant the Tenno froze. Then he unflinchingly drew his blade across Vor's throat, forever silencing the question. "I am Tenno."

A Tenno's Ode To Support Staff ( https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/239035-a-tennos-ode-to-support-staff/ )

Oh silent medics of in game woes,

Who track down answers no one knows.

You dwell in shadows hidden from sight,

And help by dragging bugs into light.

You are forgotten when things just work,

And only remembered when things irk.

You deal with our anger, tears and spite.

You know customers aren't always right.

You're not a group that can be coerced,

Even when you're reviled/hated/cursed.

You so rarely get to hear our praise,

(Maybe you guys should ask for a raise).

You must act distant in your replies,

So you appear aloof in gamer's eyes.

They say you're distant. Fathomless. Cold.

Not unlike the Orokin of old.

But not to me. No, I know the truth,

And in problems solved I see the proof.

For you watch over us day and night,

And feel true empathy for our plight.

So noble support staff please take heed,

You who save us when we are in need,

Even though we don't know you by name,

You are still a key part of Warframe.

One Way to Go ( https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/252691-one-way-to-go/ )

I dream of falling, sinking into a sweet surcease of thought and action.

My body hits the floor, a kaleidoscope of sight and sound assaults me.

I force myself up, digging my hands into the floor for traction.

I am lost. I am alone. But I am free.

A voice calls to me. I run. I run because I remember.

It will catch me. This freedom is only illusion.

It claws and drags at my mind seeking to extinguish the last ember,

Already I can feel the coming confusion.

We failed. We failed the cost was....everything?

We....fought.....? We....were.....soldiers...?

I am fading away, no matter how desperately I cling

I run, while my mind rots and moulders.

A rush of cold air. The crunch of fresh snow

Behind me the darkness calls sweetly. Ahead I see freedom.

There is only one way to go.

I launch myself forward, void of all reason.

I am falling, without thought or action.

"Wake up, Tenno"

I force myself up, digging my hands into the floor for traction.

this familiar voice.... is it friend or foe?

"I am the lotus I will guide you"

I am lost, alone, filled with dismay,

Yet I feel inside the voice speaks true,

And know I am ready to hear and obey.

a poem for a Void/Phased Warframe.

At the edge of madness,

Where science and reason fail,

We gathered together our saviours

And ordered our ships to set sail.

Into that twisted kaleidoscope they delved.

Beyond mere mortals reach.

Did we know and ignore the cost?

Or the taboo we were prepared to breach?

To make weapons of flesh that would not fail,

We sent children to the Voids embrace.

What returned to us was human no longer,

But a newly formed race.

Touched by the Void and changed by our deeds,

Bound by honour, loyalty and violence,

We shackled them to our desire.

And chained them together in silence.

But even among these "Tenno",

There is one who stands alone.

For whom the Void is a lover,

The twisted kaleidoscope a home.

What knowledge that must not be known,

fills that creatures mind?

What secrets dance on silent lips,

Hidden from even it's own kind?

It is the Void Incarnate,

Out of phase with all it crosses.

It is the whisper in the dark;

Of madness, despair, and losses.

A Prize as requested by Kurohelios:
"I would really like a philosophical poem on whether tenno stand for good, making sacrifices for what they stand for or are just mercenaries that do what helps them the most. No time limit."

Why We Fight....

Like the Orokin of Old,
Are the Tenno lost to Gold?
Have Duty, Loyalty, Honour, Trust,
Been subverted by a Corpus lust?
Do we stand against the tide
Gun and blade worn with pride?
Or do we crash against the beach
Greedily grasping all in reach?

Are we Angels with wings of steel,
Or Demons seeking our next meal?
Feeding the hunger to acquire;
-A perpetually gnawing desire.
Do gifts of weapons and hefty sums,
Dictate who directs our guns?
Would we surrender our Eternal Flower,
For the mere promise of power?
Has the Tenno’s purpose changed,
Are we from our creed estranged?
Faith and loyalty, Perfection of Self,
Are those not our true wealth?
We are warriors. Respected each,
This is what our Warlords preach.
For Greed or Virtue, do we unite?
Does it matter why we fight?

My entry for the Tenno Carolling Contest:

The Tenno Are Upon Us: A parody of "The Seasons Upon Us" by the Dropkick Murphies

The season's upon us, it's that time of year,
Mesa and archwing, there's plenty of gear,
There's trees in the dojo and wreath's to be won
We've got Limbo, mirage and a bunch of new guns.

There's bells and there's holly, the Tenno are Loose,
Holiday colours look great on mirage's caboose.
Some games get crazy around Christmas time,
But up against it's rivals, Warframe does fine.

My frames are all maxed out, I wish I had more,
Guess I'll run for primes, and then beat up Void Vor,
My Warlord's a hardassed grindcentric old Brit
But at least he'll still run all events legit.

The generals they drive us to always compete
I'd be more willing to do it if I wasn't so beat.
With a clan like this I would have to confess
I'd be better off solo, clanless and bereft.

The season's upon us, it's that time of year,
Mesa and archwing, there's plenty of gear,
There's trees in the dojo and wreath's to be won
We've got Limbo, mirage and a bunch of new guns.
They call this warframe where I'm from!

The lotus likes to give sigils, badges and lore,
While the stalker is spying and thinking of gore,
The whispers and words come creeping out of the shadows,
I'd be happier to see him, but man his fight just blows.

Ordis our cephalon is a crazy AI
Watches our kubrows mature, then vents them when they die.
They won't play or fetch they couldn't care less
They just love to turn grineer into a mess.

The season's upon us, it's that time of year,
Mesa and archwing, there's plenty of gear,
There's trees in the dojo and wreath's to be won
We've got Limbo, mirage and a bunch of new guns.
They call this warframe where I'm from!

The Hubs are coming, Lets all bow,
To the lotus, the devs, and all they've done till now
I'm so glad candycane scythes come once a year,
You can keep your other seasonal skins, events, and gear
They call this warframe where I'm from!
They call this warframe where I'm from!

Sprag and Ven'kra Tel's Tomorrow

Sprag awoke to the awful croaking of the feathered vermin that always plagued the daylight hours of this festering outpost. She rose from the tangled pile of her standard issue blanket and shuffled over to the single table that adorned her and Ven'kra Tel's assigned barracks cell. As always there was a steaming mug of the viscous sludgey nutrient infusion waiting for her. Sprag scowled at it then downed it quickly; Ven'kra would never let her "forget" to ingest the cellular degradation preventative.

Sprag let her body take her through the motions of the daily routine: stretch and test flexibility, short endurance and strength tests, taking blood and marrow samples; all results negative, she was safe from the repurposing vats for now. She checked for Ven'kra's results as well, dully scrolling down the list of entries on the scratched and flickering screen. A hiss of horror escaped her lips when she came upon todays result: Ostiopenic degradation 2%.

Sprag punched the console in frustration, adding a fresh dent to the miraid of others that adorned it. It was this queens be damned planet, it wore a soldier out as if they had already served a 5-year term on the asteroid mines. They had to get off it, it was simple as that. It had been months and there had still been no Tenno incursions into their base. The void portal was stable and the artifacts that Counselor Vay Hek had ordered them to retrieve and protect were pouring in daily. It would hardly be dereliction of duty at all. Who could even call it treason? Sprag double checked her armour and hefted her hammer trying to clear the treasonous thoughts from her mind. Ven'kra would never forgive her if she abandonned her duty.

Sprag began her patrol as she did every morning, alone. She should encounter Ven'kra a few clicks from the void portal, feeding the fluttering vermin ration scraps. Ven'kra loved watching those feathered parasites flutter about like torn flags in the wind as the sun rose. Sprag snorted: she hated the sun and everything on this planet. This diurnal/nocurnal schedule was giving her hell and the constant croaking, chirping, howling lifeforms put her on edge. She missed the constant grimy light of the galleons, and the reassuring thrum of their fusion engines. Lost in happier memories she came upon Ven'kra's location sooner than expected. It was unprofessional loosing focus like that. Sprag smiled into her armour. Ven'kra would scold her for it if she knew.

Sprag paused at the edge of the clearing, watching for just a moment. Ven'kra sat in the middle of the clearing, the crumbs of her rations spread around her feet. Her feathered creatures flitting around her, one even bold enough to land on her helmet. Ven'kra turned, somehow sensing Sprag's presence and for a heartbeat she was lit up by the fiery orange orb that crested just above the treetops, kissed by it's glow. She was beautiful, eternal, fleeting. Sprag activated her jump jet and with a heavy thump landed beside her, startling away the vermin. Ven'kra sighed in annoyance but still smiled as she rose to stand beside Sprag.

"No Tenno yet."

"Let them come! They are bugs! We will crush them!" Sprag growled hefting her hammer.

They stood in silence for a moment. Sprag awkwardly cleared her throat: "Your results..."

Ven'kra looked at her sadly "Will continue to decline, yes."

"We could-" Ven'kra silenced her by laying a single finger across her lips.

"We couldn't. We are the scions of Counselor Vay Hek himself. The shame upon our gene seed would be too high a price."

Sparg glared at the ground in renewed frustration "Ven..."

"We have our duty."

"The tenno will come Ven."

Ven'kra gently slid her hand into Sprags. "Yes, but until then, we still have tomorrow."

-end.
