Are The [De]S Really Listening To Us ?

Recommended Posts

I just feel as though they aren't. I've send a support ticket and it hasn't been answered. I've seen many players complain about stuff with in the games that acutally is serious but no response. I've even asked questions and gotten no response.

" You can post to the Mega Thread " , yeah only to be just another person complaining and over looked. I'm sorry that is just how I feel. They add these nee mechanics thus giving no information. If you didn't notice. They had a hot fix last night 14.0.3 I was trying to see what was fixed but apparently the page was down. I had no permission to view as well as all my other friends.

We were all logged in. What's the secret " Why are we just left to sit in the dark because without out us as players you guys wouldn't even be developing this game. If you had no backers no people sign up for the founders packs and money sent to you there would be no WarFrame.

I feel as though the problems that need to be fixed are being looked at last. While stuff like " Making the player ship move faster " is a priority or " increasing bloom " .

Why do we have no incentive of what is going on rather than just a list of what might be fixed and what might not be fixed until later in the next hot fix ?

Don't get me wrong WarFrame is a great game , but is it headed for a downward spiral?

I've been patient and I still am being patient, but we are to be updated and cared for or st least given an incentive and or ETA on things.

The reason they set up the megathreads for reporting and logging bugs is because right after major updates their support staff get completely swamped with tickets. I wouldn't be surprised if it took a week or more for a support ticket regarding a crash or a bug to be addressed.

That being said, Support doesn't usually come in on the weekends. Mon-Fri, 9 AM to 5 PM EDT is typical support hours.

It's always like this after major updates.

P.S. Yes, they do listen to us. Sometimes they don't and they do their own thing, but they do listen to us quite a bit. Most things they do can be traced back to some manner of community suggestion.

They listen all the time. People just choose to ignore it.

You see, if people would look beyond issues that impact them specifically and try to pass them off as game-breaking, things might be a little different around here.. but its typically about the individual's quality of life they are concerned with, and ultimately trying to get people aboard their bandwagon. The moment anyone tries to mention anything remotely resembling a differing point of view, its immediately dismissed and/or mocked.

And that, to me, is a real issue unto itself, that no amount of posting will fix. DE is fixing their game in the priority they deem fit. They are listening to us as we are, for better or worse, their testers. If this is such an issue to some players, they should come back once the game is officially launched, as I don't see the course changing for those special snowflakes.

Well, I sent in a few tickets before and they responded within 24 hours. Granted it was a workday but still, that's pretty awesome for a gaming company.

I have never seen a gaming company responds within 24 hours before I played Warframe.

The fastest EA would respond is within 3-5 working days... And usually, their customer service is pretty clueless about their games so you basically have to spell out the problem to them. I practically stopped playing EA and Bioware games because of this.

TheDeveloperChangelog

The DE team are listening to us, their QA team has to go through each of those posts and turn them in to actual fileable bug reports, which is a lot harder than it sounds due to a lot of posts not giving enough information and requires the QA team to try and link or spend time investigating, which is a large task to undertake on it's own, especially with the constant influx of posts and the limited staff they have.

Please be patient, they can not reply to every ticket, nor do I think they will need to, I Suspect they are looking through them, and if they see it's a bug reported they are likely, and with no ill intent or trying to be rude, moving on to the next issue to try and get everything solved as quickly as they can.

I have worked in  a QA environment, and I feel so sorry for the team right now, and believe me they are making great progress. I mean Three updates and hot fixes, the change list that came with it, there likely living off fumes right now!

Of course they listen to the community. We're pretty much the reason for them 2.0'ing of everything in the game.

But, yes, megathreads are a very VERY bad method for dealing with a lot of feedback on an issue/update. They do it because there is simply too much overlap with people posting about known issues that they can solve be just checking anything other than General Discussion.

And things can and do get lost in them and some issues can get overlooked for quite awhile because of it but the same issue occurs with nearly every company. There are simply too many of us and not enough them.

As everyone has said, they don't work on the weekends. And if you want evidence of them listening to us, player ships would most likely not exist if the community hadn't brought that idea up.

There is also the Community Weapons, Fan-Suggested Warframes, and even a few fixes and changes as well.

First, when did you send in your ticket? Was it during the weekend? Support has weekends off. Letter13 stated their hours above, so no need to continue to repeat what he said already. [EDIT] I see your message about it being two days ago... Well, it isn't really reasonable to expect an answer the same day, due to the sheer amount of support tickets being submitted because of the update. Even in time periods when a huge update didn't just come out, you can't really expect a same-day response because people submit a lot of tickets anyway. Took me a few days to get an answer for my last ticket, and that was when things were relatively calm.

Second, about the Megathread... I've seen more obvious signs in that thread that the developers are aware (and working on) found problems there than I have in most other threads on this site, although problems usually get fixed even if there are no signs that the developers saw a thread about the problem. As for being unable to read the patchnotes... I dunno, man, I haven't had that issue myself.

Finally, keep in mind that some problems are much easier to fix than others. This is why some bugs persist after so long after the developers turn their attention to it, for example, the infamous Bladestorm bug, which has been around for about as long as I have been playing this game. Just because you see minor things in the patchnotes, it doesn't mean the important stuff is ignored.

I know it can be hard to cope with some issues not being fixed (Damn random forced auto-melee-sheathing animation gets me killed more then anything else in this game) but please be patient. The developers want this game to succeed more than any player here wants it to. This is their project, their job, their baby, and they want it to be the best it can be. Sometimes they work too hard to reply to all the issues relayed to them through the forums, but they usually are aware of the issues and are working on fixing them.
