DeadX65
volatile runners when detonated by weapons fire gain a multiplier to their damage far beyond what it would be if they detonated on their own. tested with ODD and ogris. if i let the runners blow up on their own next to the pod, minor damage, if i hit them with the ogris, damage went insane. so much so that they alone killed the pod from the forced detonation at round 14. and it was the ones i killed that killed the pod! also seems to apply to any weapon fire detonating a volatile runner, more difficult to test but noticed a runner going boom on its's own near me would barely dent shields, if i hit it with the dread though, the boom would punch through shields. this cannot be WAI. and who's bright idea was this? not enough frackin logic holes that you had to add another? if a bow can set them off, then melee should as well. just /facepalm. you should have left them the way they were. self activated suicide bombers. now on top of the bugs/glitches with u14, you have yet more. and more logic holes. it makes no sense that volatile runners can be detonated at a distance without injuring other infested, at least when they ran up on you and blew up, you could kind of explain that away as a shaped charge type of deal, all the force directed at the tenno. now? bullets they boom, bows they boom, melee they don't o.O dread is slash damage, jat kittag is impact, so it's not even damage type that effects it. please...don't fix stuff that isn't broke, use logic, cause and effect, think things through completely. if you had never messed with the runners there wouldn't be this multiplier glitch, and they never needed messed with in the first place. and this was solo so not a host issue, and between waves i fired a few rockets into the pod...no effect, so it wasn't the ogris killing the pod. Paradoxbomb
Volatile Runners definitely needed some kind of buff, I mean 30 damage and no stagger effect was outright pathetic. Still though, I doubt that scaling off of weapon damage was their intended goal, it's most likely some bug rather than a hole in their logic. DeadX65
i think they should have had stagger from the beginning, that's not an issue, and it's enough of a buff to make them dangerous by itself. add some armor and more hp and that's all they needed. kinda silly if your suicide bomber dies before anything else because it so weak. but the detonation by weapons fire, brings nothing, improves nothing. more hp or armor, and stagger on explosion, that was all they needed.
