I spent some time and typed up a quick short transcript of the Livestream today and included time stamps on a vast majority of the questions that were asked in the Stream. Prepare for wall of text.

[3:00] Dual Ether showcased.

Dual Sword Set between Dual Skana and Dual Heat Swords

[3:55] Dual Ether Daggers mentioned.

Slower than Dual Fangs but hit harder.

[5:00] Dual Vipers

Coming by popular demand

[5:40] New map parts coming to Existing Sets

[6:00] Grineer Asteroid will support Capture mission types.

[8:15] Will there be more unique bosses like the Corpus?

Image shown of replacement of Golem Boss. Dedicating more resources to bosses. Kril reciving new animation set.

[15:00] Higher than Rare mods?

There is a tier above Rare, but they're reserved in the system and none actually exist yet.

[15:30] More alternate helmets?

There will be more helmets.

[15:50] Why do we continue to settle for underpowered/broken Warframe Powers?

We do go back and look at previous Warframe's and their powers and will adjust them accordingly.

[18:30] Trading system?

Reason there is no trading system is that it has to be done very carefully to avoid gold farmers, want to buy want to sell spam. A few simple mistakes can blow the entire system apart. Part of the Clan update will involve pooling resources. Trading of credits and platinum probably won't be available.

[20:20] Better stealth?

It is being worked on.

[22:30] What about rushers?

Friday update half of the team must be in extraction for countdown to trigger.

[24:00] What new warframes are being added?

Details in Livestream 4 but some in progress.

[24:40] Can we disable the alarm system?

Someday you will. Ties in to stealth.

[25:00] Is the Endgame farming right now?

Yes.

[25:20] Update 8 Clans will Cooperatively build a Dojo. Will be using tile set system. Competition between clans for new endgame

[26:00] Is there a new faction coming? Is the stalker a preview?

The what? We don't know what you're talking about. There will be new factions though.

[26:40] Will warframes have more abilities?

In the future, yes.

[27:25] Platinum Gifting system?

Part of the clan update includes the ability to send gifts to clan members.

[27:44] Why are there so few weapon polarities?

There are only a few set up on each weapon, just the way it was done to be flexible as possible. Toying with the idea of a Prestige or Paragon system to change slot polarities.

[28:50] More soundtracks? Music for Boss Fights? Warframes with voiceacting?

Warframes will be silent. Ninjas don't talk. Expansion of the soundtrack will happen.

[29:80] Corpus laser guns?

Someday. Something being held back for a bundle.

[30:40] Throw-able Weapons?

A few coming. Replacement for pistols, throwing knives and shurikens. Charge up and throw. The Glaive hopefully coming in a few weeks.

[33:00] Will there be better Pet customization?

Yes, being worked on at the moment. May or may not be Friday. Can customize specific areas on sentinel.

[33:33] Parkour focused level sets?

Some of the new defense missions may have locations that require skill and agility to get to for vantage points.

[34:50] Will there be finishing moves for frames?

We have ground and stealth attacks. We'll investigate variants of these before implimenting finishing moves. Leveling enemies provide problems with finishers and potential exploits with auto-kill moves.

[37:15] Will animations for the Hek be pumped?

Will be going back and giving weapon focused animations for all of the weapons.

[39:10] How will story be implemented?

Being worked on right now, but no definite timeline as to when more will be put in to game.

[40:45] Where is the Optional Reset?

If the servers didn't implode it would of been available this week. This reset is a FULL reset. Account is erased. Platinum, Vandal and Prime items are restored to original state.

[43:05] Will there be different hacking puzzles?

Yes. Right now difficulty is random. Faction based hacking. Sentinels will aid with hacking with proper mod.

[44:10] Plans to make a Tenno station?

In Update 8, the Clan Dojo will be the place and the first experiment with such a meeting place.

[45:10] How will chat be improved?

The font will be fixed, general presentation and customization in the chat UI will be available. May have context sensitivity in chat pertaining to keywords such as Rhino or Rubedo.

[47:20] Will there be knockback mods?

In progress. Quicker recovery from knockback, stuns and knockdown mods as well.

[48:35] Any plans to adjust Roller damage, hitboxes?

We're constantly looking and spawn rates and other details on Rollers.

[49:45] Will there be more pets?

Defiantly more coming.

[50:10] Will there be Shadow of the Colossus style bosses?

Probably not soon but is a possibility.

[51:44] Vehicles in warframe?

It doesn't seem appropriate and quite away off from now.

[53:40] Will there be any Clan Quest/Missions?

The idea is to not have specific generated quests but based on how the Clan wants to build the Dojo and how the Players want to work together.

[54:50] Clans can maybe affect the topology of the planets in future.

[55:40] Any progress on internal debate about gender swapped frames?

No.

[56:30] Can we make the game harder in endgame? How will challenge be implemented in the future?

More rollers, planets of nervos!

[56:55] Will blocking be more important in the future?

Talk about having mods effect effectiveness of blocking or completely redoing how blocking work.

[57:40] Steve is working Clan vs Clan meta-compitition.

[58:10] Scott is working on Friday's update.

[58:40] Geoff is working on stuff for the E3 trailer.

[59:10] Design Council hopefully will receive weekly updates on the trailer.

[1:00:10] Are we going to have PvP?

In the forums we have an FAQ about such a topic.

Its been awesome and great and supportive.

They mentioned that they were developing more warframes but didn't give any specifics.

As a point of interest I've been trying to get more information on the plans here.

What's the point of internal debate? Simply the production requirement?

I can say for myself and the circle I play with, the moment frames are gender unlocked, we're acquiring a lot more frames. :)

You shouldn't misquote them if you're going to make a summary of the Q&A. Actually DE_Steve implied they were pretty positive on the subject and finally came to a mutual agreement, DE_Scott was the only one who simply pushed the subject aside with a NO, where DE_Steve after reminded him of the "Ember/Blaze" thing and he responded like "that's not genderswapping... its.. something else..". I'd take that as a vague confirmation that it will happen at some point.

 

Although I'd like to hear from DE_Scott as to how on earth is that not genderswapping? It's basically the same thing only with different warframe and skill names. Either way though, as long as he agrees with the other two.

Good morning! i' was veru unexited in your game bcause 2 reasons.
with my personage krasov_sa@mail.ru HamsterSerg was troubles bcause you undone impossible movements or alerts for newbee players in game

at the first moment i wasn't prepared for situation about mod of skill disapeared(or it sells itself some reason) - so i missed my 4 skill forever - no fun to play
pls get my mod card with 4 skill  back for me because it not appear ever never, not drops

in trying to get 4 cards with fresh unranked mag warframe(i was got mag already)
 i was lost 25 platinum + lost 15000 credits + 8-9 hours of my time for information that i will not get anything if i got new mag warframe(it not wroted anywhere!!!!!!!!)
pls get me back my 75platinum back for that or 45000 or f**n card with 4th skill pls.

or try to fix it somehow make main 4 cards with skills unsellable .
PC : sorry for bad english im rus and Please help me

HamsterSerg,

The Reset is coming soon which means you can Reset, have all Platinum refunded and start over. You should be good to go at that point.

And by soon, sounds like as soon as this coming week (though don't quote me on that).

Your problem is surmountable :)

I really cannot see any reason to gender lock the suits and abilities, so I'm glad that they are approaching it from some vantage point. If there needs to be a different name/look for the male counterpart or female counterpart to the suits? Fine by me. It's accessing the ability set independent of gender locking the avatar that is of interest to me.

Moment I can acquire all abilities that interest me independent of being locked to female or male frames to do so is the moment all my Platinum goes 'poof' :)

To me, the idea of "gender swapping" is a terrible, terrible thing. It also tends to detract from the individuality and the CHARACTER of each warframe.
However, if they go the route of just making a brand new warframe with a similar themed appearance, name, and identical skill set (ie Ember/blaze) I think that would satisfy everyone, including myself. That, in my opinion, certainly doesn't count as gender swapping.

Though, I also can not understand for the life of me, why some guys just can NOT play as a female. I just...don't get it.

Also, nice write-up. I feel it sums it up nicely, and I just watched it through so it's fairly fresh on my mind.

It's not just guys. and let me answer that with a question, would you enjoy the game just as much if you were forced to play the game as a $&*&*#(%& pink duckling? Some people have a preference, simple as that. I know we're not exactly forced to play males or females since we've got plenty of both, but there's no harm in having more.

To be clear on this. It's not that I -can't- play a female warframe, I just find it considerably less desirable in this context.

When their is a clear story context, such as playing Lara Croft as the primary character in Tomb Raider, it's also a lot less egregious. You're not playing 'you' in the game context, it's clearly the cinematic presentation of Lara Croft's tale; your just the puppeteer watching the story in that context.

Warframe, on the other hand, has a much more immersive 'faceless' component that suggests we are the the Tenno in question. For me, that greatly shifts my perspective towards a strong preference for playing male Warframes as deep down, I'd love to feel like I'm the agent operating in that world context.

That, and barring all philosophizing on the subject, it just comes down to a point of preference of enjoying the feel and presentation of the male frames or female frames over the other.

It's also a mistake to assume that it's just about guys not wanting to play as girls; I know a large number of girls that feel the same way about playing as guys.

CapricaSix illustrated the point with an extreme, but it's at the end of the day, still that preference of presentation that's the point at hand.
