Basilo
So, I just built the AkZani, hoping it would be some cool new pistol, but when I got it, I just felt like I was using some weird mix of the Soma and Dex Furis without the strengths of either of them. Now, I understand the need for new content, but there is absolutely nothing new about this gun. Honestly, given that it is the choice weapon of Mirage, who deals with illusion and trickery, I would think that one of the best ways to make this gun unique would be to have it deal radiation damage with a high proc chance, allowing it to confuse enemies. Cwierz
Not everyone has dex furises or twin wraiths. It is an upgrade to the akfuris for them.
Arabaxus
What did you expect, it's a gimped Dex Furis with a larger max ammo capacity. Guess this is DE's way of giving the rest of us a ghetto Dex Furis
AM-Bunny
I haven't built it, but I thought the same thing. I've been impressed by a lot of the weapons being added lately, the devs seem to be trying to make them more interesting and unique. Mutalist Quanta was a huge innovation, even if it is of debatable effectiveness. Akzani on the other hand, seemed to be just a re-skinned akstiletto, which was already a re-skinned afuris. Twin vipers? Gremlins? First new weapon I've seen in a while that made me think "well that was completely pointless"
Saryn
My thoughts exactly. Akzani is pretty underwhelming as it is, so a buff like that would definitely make it more desirable.
-Himari-
Not everyone has dex furises or twin wraiths. It is an upgrade to the akfuris for them. Interesting way to put it, makes sense in retrospect.
Astralin
It's an upgrade for the people who weren't around to receive the Dex Furis. So I don't see any issue with em
LukeAura
Akzani has a maximum ammo reserve of 400, Although for dealing 15% less damage I'm not sure you can call its improvements an actual upgrade and more of a side grade, especially when the accuracy is already fairly damning. It's a gun you have to use your primary/melee first for a little bit until you can build up a high enough reserve to blow 200 rounds... and still have another 200 rounds. Basilo
I understand what you are saying about it being a Dex Furis for those who didn't get it, but still, even compared to the Afuris it's only a minor improvement with nothing unique to offer. Additionally, I'm not entirely sure that DE should be offering a Dex Furis substitute as it is supposed to be a one-of-a-kind gift weapon. Also, as is, having the AkZani be the weapon of choice for Mirage makes no sense as it doesn't really fit into her play style. For her, you would either want a one-shot weapon that takes down enemies while they are distracted/stunned by her abilities or a suppression weapon that allows her to activate those abilities in the first place, which, if modified to do radiation proc, the AkZani could easily be. Azamagon
Could've been focused on Slash damage too, imo. Not enough Slash secondaries in the game...
