New Navigation Vs Old Navigation?!

im not sure if im the only one but i prefer the old navigation it was better in my opinion. there are a couple of reasons why i like it first is that you can see the amount of players on every planet and mission. second is that you can actually drag the screen and go to the next planet and you go to a specific planet which sort of gives you a path to play or story line whatever. well those are my thoughts not much but important. let me know what you think below!

It's kind of a tossup. I like the planet ring of the new navigation menu a lot better, but I like the node system of the old one a lot better.

i dont even know if thats possible to do but can they like give us an option to switch between the two menus?

Sadly they've said they're not going to be switching back. I think the new UI will be just as good in time, but it needs some serious work.

Both have their value

If a mix of the 2 could be done it would be perfect

The only thing i m really annoyed with the new one is small difficulty with telling which planet is which sometimes

well i guess a mix is our only option i vote for putting back the how many players are in every game, i prefer playing with others than alone.

way more information and ease of use on the old navigation system. the new one is just a spinning list of planets and places, with no illustration showing how they are connected.

A huge downgrade.

At the starmap level the new one is actually better in some ways. The old one had that annoying thing where the buttons were occasionally too small to click, and the far out planets would get hidden behind menu elements. It just needs some polishing.

never happened to me.

personally, I find "seeing systems and planets floating through space" as the best possible star map, because it's literally a map of the stars.

the current one is just a list of planets to click on. visually, it's completely uninteresting, and technically, it shows far less information.

Well on the visual part I'm going to have to disagree. I found the floating through space with the dude kneeling above to be kind of silly.

But as for the technical aspects, our best bet at a functioning UI would be to combine the old and the new. Nostalgia has kind of glossed over the issues the old UI had, and hate has ignored the good features the new one has. We know DE is capable of creating a good UI, they just need to put the two they've got together.
