Attack Polarity (V) Slots On Warframes.

I believe that more mods need to be changed to V polarity for warframes. The current system limits customization options. As is stands, there are only two mods that have the V polarity for warframes, Continuity (Power Duration) and Focus (Power Strength). There are six D polarity mods for warframes and 6 Bar polarity mods for warframes.

 

Which warframes does this affect the most? I feel that Ash and Banshee are affected most by this, because they both possess two V polarity slots. Many other warframes also have one V slot. It limits customization because there are only two mods you can even put in these slots, and any other mod you could put in there will be penalized. This combined with the fact that four slots on each warframe are dedicated to power polarities, it really limits the number of mods you can slot in your warframe.

 

The two mods you can use are also both power centric mods, and that is limiting because there are players for prefer not to make heavy use of their power slots and would like to focus on a different strength for their warframe. 

 

There are two solutions:

 

1. Change some mods to be V polarity, such as Sprint Speed and perhaps Stamina mods.

2. Change the polarity of slots for Ash and Banshee.

 

I know that in the livestream there was mention of a system to reset a frame's level to one and change a slot polarity, and that would also be an acceptable solution (although I still think there are too few V mods for frames). This however is not yet implemented in the game, and it sounds like it could be a long way off. I would like to see a solution to this issue sooner rather than later.

 

I really enjoy the customization that the mod system and the game as a whole offers, but this particular slot is more often than not a hinderance and not a bonus on the frames that have it because of the extremely limited number of mods you can put in them.

If you can tell me that you can put 10 maxed mods(counting skills) into frame even when 6 are matching polarity ill call you a liar so if you dont want these mods just put other mod in blank slot. Not to mention that both mods are great additions to both saryn and ash imo.

Power Duration only affects his smoke screen - where is that a great addition? Power Strength is great, but what about Range? Wrong polarity. Effectiveness? Wrong polarity.

 

That heavily sucks and limits the Ash, especially for early game play. No chance to get more shield/armor/vitality/sprint speed from the beginning, because there is no polarity for it.

 

I hope there will be more (and useful) mods for the polarity or they change one of his polarities (even to nothing would be better).

I don't know about other warframes but Ash with 2 V polarities is very annoying, as continuity only affects smokescreen and focus affects shuriken (which no one uses) and bladestorm (which doesn't really need a damage buff to kill). I really don't understand why reach isn't a V polarity, it fits with continuity and focus as it affects skills. Edited April 13, 2013 by CubedOobleck
