When I take Kubrow on a mission (he is in hiatus at the moment on a break due to this problem) and when I am killed (usually from a penta to the face when he is blocking my aim), he is dead as well. My kubrow has never died on his own, but only at the hands of me. This causes loyalty to drop of course.
Anyone else annoyed by this or does it not happen? Why if we die does kubrow not continue fighting or at least respawn like sentinels. Fair enough he can die if he does it of his own accord, but I am afraid of dying now as I know it will be an instant drop in loyalty and I have to wait a day to rank him back up to his former killer glory (actually 2 now as he is on 20% efficiency). When I usually die I don't use revives, but quit and have another go at it, but it instantly removes loyalty. I have even alt tab'd and shut the game down before failed mission and it still saves it.
