Lost Out On Gift Of The Lotus Due To Long Standing Warframe Bug

Has anything been done for all the players who could not do the Gift of the Lotus Alert for the Orokin Catalyst last week?

 

The Alert after the DevStream was placed on Earth - E Prime, the exact same node that the Kubrow Egg quest locks you out of until you get an Egg to drop.  Sub 2% drop chance on the Egg and only a 24 hour period to run the Alert means that for the mpost part the only players that were able to complete the Alert had not started the Kubrow quest chain or purchased an Egg from the Marketplace.

 

This has been a long standing bug in Warframe reported numerous times including twice by myself.

 

Anytime there are two Alerts on the same node, or in this case an Alert on a Quest node it is impossible to do the underlying Alert, since there is no way to choose which of the available missions on the affected node you want to do.

 

This is not an Update 14 bug, this bug has been in the game since the Alert system was first added, over a year ago.

You could circumvent the issue by joining a friend not on that stage of the quest to do the alert. I doubt anything is being done to compensate players who missed it - possible that node choice was even intentional - but it's possible it'll be looked into in the future.

If "possible that node choice was even intentional", it was just another money grab by DE trying to force people to buy the Kubrow Starter Pack.

 

As to "it'll be looked into in the future", that is extremely doubtful, seeing as this bug has been in game for over a year and has had countless reports anytime multiple Alerts appear on the same node.
