Is It Just Me Or Kubrows Are Inferior To Sentinels?

Seriously, I don't see any point taking a kubruh over my Carrier. It doesnt have vacuum, it's so fragile, it doesnt regen my shield (unless it's Raksa) and it's so easy to lose them. Not to mention Huras acts like poor man's shade.

Did I miss something? Is there any point besides cool pet factor?

But Huras is way better then Shade. :I

The cloak doesn't need line-of-sight and it just feels more reliable over all.

IMO Sentinals and Kubrow both have their strengths and weaknesses. I don't agree that one is strictly better then the other.

they die too quickly even with max link health and shield

I have yet to see mine die even without maxed link mods so I don't know what's up there. And I have to totally agree with Armyunit, everything has it's time and place.

Pretty much this. I just wish that there wasn't a three hour cooldown so I could switch between my kubrows more readily. I understand the lore justification for it (post-stasis syndrome or whatever you want to call it), but... There's no cooldown on sentinels, and it somehow seems unfair that there should be one for kubrow, even with the lore justification.

There's nothing fragile about them with health and armor linked to your Valkyr and lifesteal on melee.

That would just mean Kubrows would be reserved to tank frames, with enough shield, health and armor for link mods to work.

Kubrows for Saryn, Frost, Rhino and Valkyr, and sentinels for the others?

Yet the kubrow has upkeep and the sentinel does not. If you don't take care of your kubrow it gets worse and they cost more to make and manage. I hope DE doesn't plan to go all pokemon with warframe and add more animal sidekicks.

In terms of skills ans usefulness they are inferior than sentinels. But they are tanky as f..and the damage....anyways for anyways for any high rank player it's a: gotta catch em all for them sweet mastery points...so you will eventually need all.

I can't seem to ever use my Kubrow because it takes three hours to come out of stasis and by then I've signed out and put it back in stasis. I only had my Kubrow with me on one mission so far and yeah, it died quick. I hope that the mod cards help strengthen them. I agree that so far the carrier sentinel is far above and beyond the Kubrows in performance and doesn't cost anything to keep.

Pet is responsibility... even in computer game.

Obviously you didn't get what I was saying.....which was kubrow upkeep seems to be no big deal to warframe veterans or people with lots of credits to spare. Your new players on the other hand are in for a long wait if they want a kubrow. I remember when I first started playing and saw another person using a sentinel and thought...how long will I have to play to get one of those for free? It really wasn't that long but I'm guessing it will take way longer for a new player to acquire a kubrow for free. So this is one of many reasons why sentinels are better then kubrows.

Oh and I don't like the wait for putting your kubrow in stasis and think the whole loyalty thing should be thrown out.....and I don't like that I have to stick a reactor in my kubrows butt to make her/him better.

My Sahasa is extremely weak, I can't get her past level 2. She keeps going off on her own and dying all the time on VERY low level missions. I can't apply a potato to allow for some sort of protective mod. Mag's Shield Polarize has no effect on her. Also, they did away with the color changer for some unknown reason before my Kubrow became mature. Just really overall disappointed right now...

They did away with the color randomizer because a lot of us (myself included) are very outraged at DE(L)'s decision to play random with real life money.  Credits would be okay for a random draw, but plat should give us control over the changes.  They are currently looking at a different way to implement this, so it should return in a different manner in the future.

On Topic:  Sentinels are superior to Kubrows in a number of ways.  The primary being that you can't switch kubrows, so having different breeds or really more than one is pointless (stasis 3 hour wait time).  In addition, you can only use your kubrow for 2-3 missions a day due to the loyalty loss/recovery system.  -20% loyalty for every mission they are used in, -40% if they die in said mission instead, and only a +20% boost to loyalty which can only be used 3 times a day.  So, if your kubrow doesn't die, you can use it 3 times before you lose loyalty that you can't recover, or you can use it twice if it dies at least one time in a mission.

Kubrows do get better with mods, though you have to level the kubrow up a few times to get them into a good place with mod slots.  Unfortunately you also have to farm the mods as well.  With link health/link shield they are very tough (I have a level 14 Kubrow with almost the same health and shields as the level 26 Mirage I have been running it with).  Damage-wise they pretty much suck on their own, though I understand that the Maul card can improve this tremendously.  I can't say from personal experience, as the Maul mod has yet to drop after 6 days of farming for it.

If you could either use the kubrows far more than  currently available, or if you could switch instantly from one kubrow to another, they would have more utility.  At the moment, they are nice bits of fluff, but they are far, far inferior to Sentinels in long-term value.

as I have said numerous times in the past, this is a bit sad, as the feature is very interesting, and it could be so much better than it's current design.

The idea of the Kubrow was a good one, but turning it into a gimmicky mini game has ruined it. The loyalty mechanic can be justified, as it's a living thing, but having to spend 100k at a time just to keep it healthy was a really bad decision. I think DE should do away with the DNA stability Mechanic altogether. The idea of feeding the Kubrow to instantly max it's loyalty has been mentioned on forums, that could work well I think.

Leveling a kubrow up can't be that difficult.

1. Get an angstrum.

2. Head to Coba on earth.

3. Climb up to the top of one of the two buildings so that you stand over their doorways and can fire down at the pod.

4. Carpet bomb all the things.  Jump down to pick up loot and shoot stragglers.

The infested don't bother with your pet and your pet's going to be too busy digging stuff up.  Do this until you can get a link mod on them and try more significant missions.  Coba was good until mine was level 6 before she needed tougher enemies to fight, but by then she can one shot anything twice her level, could disarm bosses, was able to somehow travel whole tilesets in a fraction of the time it takes my warframe, and had more HP than my rhino with just as much bulk.

Kubrow dont lost 20% of loyalty for mission.

I run like 20+ missions today and he still loves me with 100% loyalty.

You can swap between sentinels instantly, no need to wait for stasis.

They don't require upkeep.

They both require slots.

I don't have to worry about how many times I've pet my carrier after it esplodes after being instakilled on eprime.

Yeah, tough case for kubrows. I think I'ma level the 4 breeds to 30 and be done with em.

Too much bullS#&$ not enough incentive.
