Who Else Here Assigns Certain Weapons To Certain Frames?

Recommended Posts

Each of my 10 frames have their own 3 weapons which they use personally. If I want to use a certain weapon, I gotta use the frame and the other 2 weapons to go with it.

Example, my Saryn has infested weapons (Phage, Tysis, Mire) to suit her poisonous look. My Rhino uses big weapons (Gorgon, Detron, Machete) to suit his buff look and my Nekros uses stalkers weapons (Dread, Despair, Hate) to suit the "Death" look.

An expensive habit I must say, having to get a reactor and 3 catalysts just for 1 loadout, but I've been doing this since I started Warframe and ain't gonna stop anytime soon.

I tend to let Valkyr go with a sort of "hunter" look, along with Saryn (Dread, Kunai, Dual Zorens), while my Excalibur's got a sort of... "Agile" setup for him (Cernos and Bo). I'm debating giving Mirage either a modified "Hunter" look, or perhaps a "Battery" look (Dread, Angstrum, and either Dakra Prime or Jat Kittag)

Not really. Although I like picking 3 weapons with same first letter in name. Like Dread-Detron-Dragon Nikana. Or Boltor Prime-Brakk-Bo Prime. Etc, etc. I sometimes use all-Prime loadouts, but they are kinda lacking since the only prime secondary that has a niche is Sicarus Prime (I use it with max punchthrough, took 3 extra formae). Broncos Prime are just an inferior Brakk, Lex Prime is just an inferior marelok, Lato Prime don't exist on PS4.

With my Primes, sure. They actually use their "sets":

-Excalibur Prime: Dakra Prime/Glaive Prime, Lex Prime, Braton prime (at the lack of Skana and Lato because higher tier founders).

-Frost Prime: Latron prime, Bronco Prime/Akbronco Prime, Reaper Prime.

-Mag Prime: Boar Prime, Sicarus Prime, Dakra Prime/Orthos Prime.

-Rhino Prime: Boltor Prime, Akbronco Prime, Orthos Prime/Ankyros Prime.

-Ember Prime: Burston Prime, Sicarus Prime, Glaive Prime.

-Loki Prime: Boltor Prime/Paris Prime (though the thing is big), Lex Prime, Bo Prime.

With my "regular" Frames, not so much, though I try to not give something that looks silly. Ie a Sybaris on Oberon, having half his arm clipped by the thing (which is a shame, though).

I'm grinding all the gear for them atm and assigning them to each character atm, all based on the fan arts I'm drawing or planning.

Nekky the Happy-Go-Lucky Trap Nekros : Vectis, Brakk and Dakra Prime (In crafting and hunting for Crimson Derpish).

Beroniffy the Quiet Oberon : ????, Marelok, Orthos Prime (In grinding)

Ashran The Tsundere Ash : ? , Despair (hunting), Some kind of decent dual weapon (Still deciding).

It's fun and helps with the immersion. When I get all the gear planned, I'm locking it that way in the loadout.

i highly recommend the fang prime(stab, stab, staaab) , or the venka

edit on topic:

i like to give my mag prime a sobek or boar prime, becouse top korpus killer, along with prova vandal and twin viper wraith

and also i like to give a grakata on my rhino, becouse boltor prime and soma are too mainstream

but when i go nekros i pick the soma or the paris prime, i need a hard hitting and accuarate weapon for such a "squishy" frame

Weapon choice is mostly driven by the mission and just what sort of mood I'm in.

Having said that, it's hard to avoid certain weapons on certain 'frames. EmberP just likes her Ignis and that's all there is to it.

Mission needs will sometime dictate. Void captures, for example, often need a high dps, hit scan weapon to deal with a fast moving target potentially found in a bad tactical situation. This often dictates the Soma.

Personal mood often is the final arbiter. If the mission is garden variety slumming around on the system map, then the Braton Prime often gets the nod since I just like it a lot and it's simply a pleasure to use.
