Purpose Of Various Warframes

Alright, so I am semi-new to Warframe and what I was wondering is, what is the best Warframe for each mission type? By that I mean, for instance, if someone is using the Volt Warframe, what mission would they be best at? Also if you could give an explanation why each Warframe is good for each Mission that would be nice too. :)

 

What I intend to do is edit this topic frequently and make a "Master List" below this introduction saying which mission type is done best with which Warframe.

All the warframes are perfectly good at all mission types, but there are some warframes that are better at certain stuff.

 

Infested defense: vauban

Regular defense: volt, frost

Capture: volt, ash

Survival: valkyr, rhino, nekros

Ember - extermination missions or the ones thet need rushing.

I dunno about nekros, sure he can be a thumbs up with desecrating bodies for health, but its more used for farming purposes. If you need someone to cut an hour or two in half then just bring a nekros along, apart from bosses.

Banshee is good for all around high level stuff, I would probably put her as a really good frame for a boss because of her sonar.

What am I reading.  EDIT: And Nyx is missing in Defense, both infested and Vanilla.  What is this trickery.

Frost is pretty all-round if you know how to use him (coming from a guy who's played frost for a year).

Well I meant to have it as the plural of Warframe and all of their purposes, but I know am rethinking the decision...

Man, you have to farm for Bosses, then craft all the frames and try them on your own. 

 

A reply like 'X is better' isn't good for a new player, especially if you can't understand why. 

 

For example. Frost good for Defence. Ok. But why?
And why is Volt good for Defense too? Thanks to its shield? I think it's better for fight a Boss instead of try to cover a pod. 

 

Ash good for capture. Thanks to it's invisibility? Ok, but it's quite good in every solo mission in general (except Defense, because he hasn't good AoE).

 

So... if you need to know something more about frames there is the Wiki. But you still need to try them. No way.

I have used the wiki, I have done quite a bit of research, and I will try most Warframes on my own. I just wanted everyone else to give input and if someone else were to see this topic it could maybe give them an idea of Warframe should be used on what mission. I am not going to use this as my only source of information, I do not recommend anyone else to use as their only source of info on a Warframe. This is simply just meant to be a small recommendation for certain Warframes. :)

Oberon is lolsuperb in any Infected related stage atm cause of the bug on reckoning. You can easily keep the whole group perma CC'd thanks to the ancient healer and take them down one at a time because they are stuck until they are dead.

Oh and hey, Zephyr is great for non Grineer Settlement Mobile Defenses.  Most people probably just use her as a tank for downed allies, but as a solo player I just pop turbulence and stand in front of the console.

I almost always use Zephyr for Interception.

I suppose it depends on your teammates or if your Soloing.

 

eg. Frost is good for Mobile Defense and Defense soloing it, but frowned upon in Squads.

 

Also, you can easily spec your Warframe for particualr missions. Rhino Prime with Arcane Vanguard, Marathon,

Rush and Iron Skin make him quite good at Capture missions.
