Kubrow Eggs Disappearing After Being Found

Found my first egg yesterday after many rounds, picked it up, saw it in my mission rewards screen, but then it disappeared. It wasn't in my inventory or the incubator and the quest still said I needed to find one. Since it took so long the first time I just bought an egg with plat. Cool. It hatched and I have a puppy still maturing. Found a second egg while farming for Bite mod and again, even though it showed up in the mission rewards screen it's nowhere to be found now. I know you can't have two eggs at once, but I thought that once one had hatched you could get another. Any idea why the eggs I find never seem to stick around?

Yeah had the same problem as well was in my mission rewards screen then disappeared  when completed the mission.
