Info On Kubrow Dens

Ok there's seems to be disagreement about how kubrows spawn out of their nests so I'd like some clarification.

some people contest that if you never kill the dens kubrows spawn endlessly.

some people seem to think that destroying the den is irrelevant since the same amount of kubrows spawn no matter what

lastly some people think the number of spawns is finite but destroying the dens stops kubrows from spawning their max amount if done too early. 

I'm inclined to think the last one is true from what I've observed. Also it seems that sometimes kubrows stop spawning but if you lightly damage the den more pop out, but the number is still finite.

It is so clear... it's finite, shoot it a couple of times and more shall come out, then it stops.

 

If you really dont believe then do the test, shoot the den until they stop spawning, and then wait 10-30 minutes to shoot it again.

Draw the result if they actually come out again, and even if its worth waiting more then 1m if they do spawn again.

from what I observed its mix of the last two: if you destroy a den too early it wont spawn the rest of its max number of kubrows. however, it seems that rest of the kubrows from a destroyd den will spawn out other dens close by (or those dens just get alertet I dont know for certain)

but yes the numbers per den ARE FINITE and destroying them early CAN prevent the maximum number kubrows to spawn (though i have seen more kubros coming in from ohter rooms in those cases)

Now, I haven't taken the time to wait 10 min before shooting a den again, but from all experiences I've had so far(a LOT of earth missions) it seems the latter is true. There has been a bug for a long while that caused Kubrows to spawn out of some of them seemingly indefinitely(but even those dried up after a good while). But I haven't run into that since they fixed a similar bug which had to do with host migration.

 

So, I'm inclined to believe that dens have a set amount they spawn as squads, and a set amount that come out when damaging the Dens themselves(which through all my trips has been a consistent amount)

I had an infinite spawn going for about 2-3 minutes, 1 (out of 2) of the dens were destroyed at some point in between but they were still coming out of both. Not sure how it triggered or how it stopped though. I was in a party with 1 other person if anyone's curious

 

In most cases (probably 98% of the time) it is a finite spawn, but sometimes you'll get more than usual, so it's not a fixed number every time. For example if there are 2 dens near each other, hitting 1 den will cause a kubrow to come out of both dens (in most cases 1 will come out of each den but sometimes more come out, it might have to do with being in a party(?); more seem to come out when I'm in a public game) -- this will spawn about 8 extra kubrows since they spawn for 2 hits each den. If the dens are farther apart, you'd only get 2 from each den because it doesn't trigger the other one, so a total of 4 kubrows.
