AlvaroXDM
So, everyone has pretty much made a new Ember from scratch in order to fix her. Yet, I think her skills are good as they are. If she isn't meant to be a tanky warframe, she shouldn't be made a tanky warframe. She's made to be a caster, and here is where my suggestion kicks in. The suggestion: Make Ember's energy pool the highest to date (200). Even when she does have a nice energy pool, if you raised it by 50 (200 base), you would end having a total Energy pool of 300. And, if you add a Flow, you would end with 600 Energy. How would this affect Ember? Spamming skills: Well, first of all, she could be able to more consistently spam her Accelerant, either for huge damage, or for the CC. Plus, having more Energy means spamming more skills, and thus, raising her overall damage. A true glass cannon, kill her if the doesn't burn you to ashes first with a combination of her most powerful skills! Quick thinking: Yeah, she's not about sheild, and her pityful health doesn't even stand a chance against toxin. Yet, with 800 Energy, her "energy health" would skyrocket to 1440. I think that the fact that she would always need a mod to be efficient is enough drawback, AND, the buff alone (the 50 extra energy) doesn't seem overpowered, at all. So, you would buff her damage, AND her defense (Yet in game, you would have to choose between spending all the energy, or keep some for survivial, a more than interesting and game-varying choice). Katinka
A larger energy pool only allows for one burst of power use and then you need to find a lot of blue orbs to fill it back up again (unless Ember Prime on an Orokin ship). Until you do fill it, the extra capacity is meaningless. Same issue as Akzani's 400 spare rounds. It doesn't matter if half way through the mission there haven't been enough ammo drops to keep you above 200 spare rounds. I prefer reduced power cost over higher capacity (except when Prime on an Orokin ship). PS: Those of us lucky enough to have Arcane Phoenix can almost do this as it adds +37 maximum energy although with a cost of 5% shields. Yes, the idea was to combine quick thinking to spamming. If you don't even spam your skills, and just leave extra energy as an "extra health" Ember would still greatly benefit from it. And, since she has 2 good clearing skills, you would be able to wait enough to get some energy back if you're using Siphon. Add some nice energy efficiency and voila, super caster frame, that can go tanky. Of course, this would obviously mean, playing Ember as a caster (I believe that's the way she must be played, but I agree some people think other ways).
