Interception On Earth Is Still Too Hard For Squads Of New Players.

I remember seeing some changes to this, I think it was changes to make it easier for solo players, less eximus guys.

 

But can you please equip rank 10-15 gear and go do one of these missions on earth? It's mother@(*()$ impossible.

 

I was not even that, I had catalysted vauban and even then I couldn't run around the entire map reviving each of those poor russian kids and throwing teslas everywhere. I just couldn't do it all alone because newbies had barely any contribution, they just help capture the points when it's calm but they quickly become absolutely helpless when eximus guys and heavy units come in, before the first extraction even happens.

 

I LOVE love how hard interception in general is when you actually put down the fancy op stuff, but for newbies earth interception is still over the top and has to be nerfed.

Its one mission type that is the start of the learning curve.  If your pug can't complete it tell them how to, if they still fail ESC/quit mission and find a new pug.

If you're using rank 1-10 gear on Earth then you either literally just bought an entirely new set of weapons, or you were Taxi-ed to Earth without actually playing Mercury / Venus.

The Tutorial is on Earth. Then they go back to Mercury -> Venus -> Earth. Interceptions ARE NOT part of the Tutorial.

 

Rank 10-15 still sounds a little sketchy to me, but within reason. I'll try soloing one of them with a Rank 15 Grakata and Rank 15 Frame (all without potatoes) and tell you my results.

you can bring defensive frame, with decent shields and health, if it's nothing like nova, because newbwies on earth are usually going with excaliburs and mags.

I'm thinking using a Stomp/Iron Skin Rhino. Still need to level up my Grakata though. Don't have any partially maxed Serrations, so I'm instead thinking of something like a 60% elemental + ammo mutation. Since I only have access to 1/4 the ammo of a normal group, I think it should be fair enough that I have an ammo mod (that is somewhat hard for a newbie to come across) since Grakata is ammo-intensive. And that'll be all for weapon mods.

 

Frame-wise. I'm thinking maybe just Vigor + Iron Skin + Stomp. (Again, don't have non-maxed Redirection / Vitality), but Vigor is a smaller boost to both, so I figure it should function approximately the same.
