Dark Sector Pvp (The Exp Problem)

As many of you who have tried out the Dark Sector PvP, you will have enjoyed the joys of enemy players spawn camping your underleveled team, Repeatedly killing you over and over, racking up tons of experience while you yourself are unable to get any.

This is especially true for attackers - Defending NPC's hang around at points A and B, meaning you have to travel to point A or B to get any experience. And when you are getting spawn camped, its impossible to even GET to point A or B, while the enemy players kill every NPC  at your spawnpoint instantly, gaining tons of experience and widening the EXP gap, making victory for the attackers almost impossible.

This is what I call 'the EXP problem'.

I think that this issue could be worked around, instead of giving players their mods after a certain amount of EXP from kills, give the players their mods after a certain amount of time, granting experience over time while removing the experience from kills.

TL;DR - Grant Exp to both teams over time instead of from kills

I've completely given up on attacking in Dark Sector conflicts for this very reason. Rewarding success with the tools to succeed sounds fine-and-dandy, but it rapidly snowballs into a complete train-wreck with the outcome of missions basically a forgone conclusion after the first few minutes and given that even so-much-as joining in those first few minutes seems virtually impossible...

I'm feeling the same way about this. It's ridiculous since opponents with better base-weapons can wrack up huge damage against you, get their mods back, and beat your team down within the blink of an eye. Literally fifteen minutes ago, myself the 2 others were beating the enemy team, had the core down to 30% and almost had it won...then a member of then opposing team gets a lucky kill, and what does he get? Damage increase to his Boltor Prime. He one-hits all of my team, further powering up, then spends his time softening us up with another weapon so his team can get the experience. Immediately the tables aren't only turned, they've been tipped over and thrown out the window, since none of us had the mods/weapons/strength that the other team had. It simply doesn't work. I don't know why they didn't factor Conclave scores into the Dark Sectors like they do with PvP, seeing as that would make it more fair.

Right now, there's no point in doing the conflicts, since you get hammered by players who are carrying prime equipment with all the best mods and unless you rush them, you're not going to make a dent in them once they get one of their OP weapons working.

No.

What you describe 'is' a MOBA PvP system, where teams are rewarded based on their kills and performance.

If you let the other team rack up kills, that's called 'feeding.'  Learn not to do that, and organize with your team.

The reason why the communities of those games are super toxic.

That is fine when both teams have an equal playing field

However in Dark Sector PvP, the Defenders have a HUGE advantage (especially at the low-grav section). Defenders can throw themselves at the enemy, because they aren't punished for it. If attackers throw themselves at the enemy, they lose (20 lives lmfao who's idea was that....).

Defenders spawn about 30m from objectives, attackers spawn 200m+ from objectives (this makes a huge difference).

Currently defenders have energy stations at their first spawn point, granting them unlimited energy, whereas attackers need to seek out energy orbs, and if they die, they start at zero energy, if Defenders die, they start at full energy.

Not to mention the problem with the NPC's (Defending NPC's will camp the points, meaning attackers need to travel past enemy defenders to gain EXP, whereas defenders can simply spawn camp the Attackers and kill every NPC that spawns). Attackers cannot 'spawn camp' because of the shields preventing it.

Defenders can also have additional defensive structures

As you can see, this is NOT a level playing field, so of course, it is NOTHING like MOBA's like you say. Its not really 'feeding' when your opponent starts the game with an absolutely massive advantage like this.

I thought they solved this by making you invulnerable for a few seconds after spawn?

It just means you die a few seconds after spawning instead of instantly. Without a fully protected spawn point (which the defenders have, attackers do not) then there will be spawn camping.

Yeah there is a massive problem with spawn camping and the energy availability for defenders. It typically gets to the point where the Def's have so much spare energy, any Ash, Mag, Nova, Saryn etc can just ability spam the hell out of the spawn.

But hey you could always run away right?

Wrong. Because unlike specters, plays have a BRAIN and have the decency to FOLLOW you, then spam you dead. If they run out of energy they can just leave, kill hundreds of your minions with their superior weaponry (which YOU don't have because spawn camping ftw) and come back with near full energy +2 new damage mods and the process starts all over again...
