Kubrow Coat Cosmetics: Give Us 'desaturate' Genetic Tool!

I understand and like the idea of breeding kubrows to get good coats, but the recent fix to the colors in-game has left a lot of people (myself included) disappointed with how our kubrows now appear. This especially sucks for myself and others who have already invested Reactors and Forma into our pups.

Most of the complaints seem to come from people with pale and white kubrows, whose colors turned out to be simply washed out.

For our Warframes, we were given the Gamma color pack, letting us desaturate our Warframes again to a degree. In lght of the change, it would be great if DE could introduce some kind of cosmetic Genetic Tool to the market that washes out our kubrow's coat, restoring the pre 14.09 hotfix appearance.

No other colors would change, it would simply desaturate the coat, giving those who loved their white pups that experience back, and going forward would give players a degree of flexibility and customization over appearance without replacing breeding.

(Side note, DE could go the opposite way and have a Saturate Genetic Tool to redouble the change! Could have some crazy colors come of that.)

It's hard for me to understand people complaining about the hotfix kubrow colors. Everyone who had the pale/washed out kubrow white color is complaining, but if you really look at your Kubrow, that was the way it was supposed to be if they had the colors right in the first place. Now your kubrow is more unique and doesn't look like every other washed out pup.

And most importantly, YOU SHOULD LOVE YOUR KUBROW FOR WHO HE/SHE IS! *weeps* Judge a Bat-Dog not by the color of it's coat, but by the contents of it's DNA!

Yeah, I knew my kubrow had blue splotches already, I could see them. However, I spent a week, a forma and a reactor running with a white dog I named Odette specifically because she was white (White Swan of Swan Lake, yo). Now she's grey and just kind of looks like she rolled in a bunch of dust. I know that 'this is the way it was supposed to be', and I know that a lot of people are happy with it, but for myself and others it's unpleasant and spoils the time and investments we've put into them.

DE gave us a fix for the color palette shift in Waframes with the Gamma color picker. They should offer the same for kubrows, since this is the same thing we're concerned with.

That said, I understand that the architecture might not be in place for kubrows just yet -- the Gamma color picker was an easy fix, as all they needed to do was make a new swatch. Making a desaturate tool might be a bit more complicated to do. Or it might not! I don't know how the architecture or the coding works out.

But I think I've proposed a good solution and more importantly have proposed an avenue for some limited player customization of kubrows, like a lot of players have sought out.

Also coat color is in the DNA so totally judging it by the contents of it's DNA :P

I have to agree entirely when i had named my Sunika Snowflake due to being pure white, and i really liked her being pure white due to the style of the frames i use her on, and now it's hard to be satisfied when snowflake is now almost black with freaking blue and green stripes and slightly tan details.

I am not the one who cares much about cosmetics and such, but why not? I

Could give players who like customisation more choices.

Plus, would not change the bare colors and so would not disrupt the value of breeding.
