Directx Failed To Update?

currently my directx is up to date yet every time i launch the warframe launcher it says it fails to update. help me plz

Edit: Actually..try to run it it as admin first to see if it work..then try my solution bellow.

 

Assuming your using the steam version...rename DXSETUP.exe into DXSETUP.exe.bak to see if it help. Here the default location :

 

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Warframe\Drivers\DirectX9\DXSETUP.exe"

 

 

if is not working..don't forget to revert the change you made and change DXSETUP.exe.bak into DXSETUP.exe again

it didnt work

all it did was create a replacement DXSETUP.exe file and it still failed

do it have any error code?..screenshot the error if possible?

no error code, just that directx failed to update

try to update it with this : http://filehippo.com/download_directx and get the latest version of directx9 (installing version 9 may help to run older game, you can always try to find it on the Microsoft website if you are scare to download this, unsure if this is the correct one but seem like it : http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35)

 

Also, Try to do a windows update..it usually download the latest directx your os can use, if is not working, read this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/179113
