Could you be more specific about it. I'm kinda of a noob and don't know what I'm doing.

So like

+ Extra posion damage

+X% Damage

+X% Crit Damage

He probably means raw base damage, because Karak doesn't really have a good crit chance/crit damage base, so as you can't really rely on crit building for raw base damage seems the most convenient option.

Is not a great weapon to make a crit build nor a status build, so going after full damage is the best.

That would be:

Serration

Split chamber

Faction bane mod

Plus the best elemental combo per faction

I personally use shred on most of my weapons due to the punch through.

What about puncture damage?

Should I fuse that for the karak

You get better results from a elemental mod that from a IPS (Impact, Puncture, Slash) base damage type mod, as the elemental takes in account all the three values whilst the base IPS damage mod only takes the one it is from. I hope is undestandable, if not I can elaborate further.

Uh so I should use Infected clip, Magazine Warp, and Pierecing hit with my serration mod?

Is that a good build

Edit: Tenno'd

While Mag and Toxin is the best combo, while leveling you should probably use only Toxin to spare some mod points. The base impact will do well enough against shields on its own, although you will do not as much damage against most robots.

To be honest is not a very good one but is something that can take you throught the starchart.

I'd ditch both, piercing hit and magazine warp for another elemental mods.

Piercing hit because, as I tried to explain before you would only receibe a +30% damage (when maxed) on the base puncture damage type (8.1 in the Karak case), while with an elemental one, you'd receibe another +90%(apart from the given from the infected clip mod) of the total physical damage of the weapon, (27 on the karak's case).

Magazine Warp because you'll be used to the time it takes to finish the clip and recharge after a while and you could get more damage in that mod slot.

Yes, pretty much shove in these kinds of mods in this order;

1. Base damage mods (Serration)

2. Multishot (Split Chamber)

3. Elemental mods

4. Impact, Puncture and Slash mods

5. Fire rate, Magazine, Reload mods.

Don't forget to upgrade your mods. Upgrading is good :) (for 1 to 3; hopefully you'll get enough elemental mods that you won't have to shove in 4 and 5).

If you can't upgrade your multishot to rank 2 or 3, I'd say skip it for an elemental mod.

Try to shove the elemental mod to suit the kind of enemies you'll be facing, use this to figure out what order;
