First question.

Are bosses affected by Viral status? which is reducing their hp to half health.

Second Question.

Is the galatine still viable for damage?

2. I know there's better stuff. I have orthos prime for example and I heard Dragon Nikana has the highest base damage. Just wanna use the galatine for it's stances.

1. Yes, certain bosses tho will not be affected but status period, like ruk, unless thats bugged for me. But most bosses will be affected.

 

2.Galatine does have good dmg and range for a melee weapon, and the stances can make it a wheel of death so to speak, Although i do say, melee channeling it can be devstating, but prime weapons and clan weapons are much better now. Even with heavy weapons.

I really like Galatine for it's looks. But for it to be effective you'll need Cleaving Whirlwind (selling one btw). Then it become nice for AoE attacks but it's kind of slow and hard to control. But overall quite useable.

Huh. I'm gonna go against the grain here and say most bosses are not affected by the Viral status. T4Vor is for sure, but most are immune. Kril and Ruk for sure are immune, and I believe others may be as well. Probably anything with stages will be immune.

 

As stated above, Galatine is okay damage, and has a great range for hitting multiple enemies.
