New Idea For Quest: The Janus Key

After you defeat Vor once in the void, the key disappears

1- you attack a research station in grineerspace to get clues: where did it come from? the station gives you a bp for a special void key

2- you do as in mirage quest, get coordinates to build the keys. Not from vaults but from mobile defenses (in void or even in derelicts, new mission type would help reward table dilution too)

3- build the key & go to the void, face once more Vor resurrected, get access to a vault where you find the key

 

The rewards:

1- free cosmetic item: the janus key on your frame as Vor has on his model

2- janus key abilities: see what Vor does in the void when you face him, you can do the same now.

    teleportation, golden eruption (http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Captain_Vor_%28Corrupted%29), attacking with the key ray as he does.

These would be warframe abilities, which you could equip on ANY of your warframes instead of "normal" said warframe "spells"

The idea sounds awsome I would love to be able to have abilities like that on any of the warframes, I would love having to do a quest for it be really fun adventure with great reward at the end.

Key is a bit OP, but I'm glad that you didn't list "immortality" since the key gave Vor immortality and will probably do the same for other wielders of the Janus Key.

Vor s immortality is keyed to his corruption by the neural sentry, ofc it wouldn t be an attribute

As for the OPness (is that a word? :) ), to stay uncorrupted we would have access only to part of the key s power, so downpowered (don t know if that s a word either) versions of Vor s abilities (+ frankly their power is tied to vor s lvl in t4, they wouldn t be as powerful as warframe abilities)

So... do you equip it in your Consumables slots? I don't get how it's supposed to give you Vor's abilities as usable powers. I mean, I had an idea for a Warframe that had powers similar to Vor's (read here https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/266691-story-questline-project-j-in-which-vor-returns-to-the-origin-system/?p=3095635 and here https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/270742-grineer-warframe-janus/ for more details) but I don't get how an equipped item would replace a Warframe's powers.

 

Wouldn't mind having the Janus Key as a chest armor piece, though. That might look cool.

You get new ability mods once you complete the quest, which are usable with any frame. No need to be complicated
