Gildemesh Posted July 28, 2014 Share Posted July 28, 2014 (edited) Kubrow degeneration constantly worries me. I don't mind DE made a credit sink so we have to spend money on our Kubrows. I'm fine with that (although it's a bit expensive where it stands). What's not fine is that Kubrows die if the degenerate completely. I only learned about this after putting in an Orokin Reactor. There's not a huge amount to say on this topic, so I'll keep it short. I understand degeneration is used to stop people from bringing Kubrows everywhere. However, killing off your beloved pet because your Internet connection went out for a week or two is not the solution. I have an alternative system: Upon Kubrow degeneration, they become incapacitated, and cannot be brought into missions. A special item must be crafted (or bought with platinum) to revive it. Afterwords, you must wait a few hours (or rush it) until your Kubrow is restored to fighting status. DE gets people to buy platinum if you want to rush things, player's Kubrows don't die due to neglect, yet are still punished. Everyone wins. With the addition of that, we can no longer kill Kubrows in any way. Therefore, we must also add the ability to release your Kubrow after an undated amount of time involving imprisonment and abuse battle and bonding. Good idea, or bad idea? Well: with this simple update your kubrow will be used without worries... if my kubrow could die for degeneration, i couldn't use reactor and formas on it, cause if i forgot about him, he die, and I didn't want lost all that things!!! I took it for one or two missions, found out about the degradation and huge cost for upkeep then promptly put it in stasis never to be used again. This is just as bad as those other F2P games that make your weapons disappear after a certain amount of time. It kills my investment and desire to use them. Why go through all the hoops to get the dog, only to have it die if you decided to take a break, or had to work solid, and forgot to stasis the poor thing. WHY should we be punished for such a thing. The drops are already stupid (bought my egg), and lets not even bring up this 6 back of magic heal all. at least make the stupid thing a blue print at that price. I'm a rather casual player and I'm never going to use my cute little Sasha again. Not only do you have to worry about it's attitude (which is fine by me actually) but you also have a constant degradation till it dies or you buy an item? Sorry but i'll have to stick to my sentinels. I really do love the kubrows, and would use mine as my primary sidekick thingy, but i just don't have the time to farm money for her.
