Spectacle creep has kept apace with power crleep in how the power fantasy through how often enemies die has caused our fear of enemies to go down.

with the UI of the planets  invasions are no longer linked together  each planet seems just to be floating in space alone just it's own level  WE lost the sense of universal scale  of it being a big conflict  now it's just a small outpost where we kill alot of people 

 

 

and you forgot the horrible scream  that the corpus  target capture used to make , that was changed so we tenno came off as less Evil

They definitely still scream..?

And the starchart is a matter of opinion, it's hard to make blanket statements like that. Even if we did lose something there, we got the window view from the ship which manages to give a sense of scale quite nicely. Although, that's also a matter of opinion.

I miss the drums (though we needed more tracks!)

I miss the sinister sound effects - like for certain weapons (sawmen etc)
 

I miss the moodier lighting

I miss the really sinister opening diorama's (like the prone tenno surrounded by grineer in silhouette)

Still a hella rad game, and DE has total freedom to do what they like with it, but it just isn't the game that drew me in anymore.
