Enemy Sub-Ranks

Hey guys,

 

I have an idea that will slightly improve immersion when it comes to enemy variety.

 

Basically, right now the Grineer Lancer on Mercury is the same one on Ceres and that is quite odd given the level difference.

 

How about each enemy getting a sub-rank underneath their name like "Commander" for a high level Napalm/Bombardeer/Leader or Private for the Mercury Lancers and Captain for the Mercury Bombardeers.

 

Just a small suggestion that would make enemies very very slightly different and would explain why the Grineer on Mercury are weaker than those on Ceres, they are fresh soldiers etc.

Yeah pretty much but it would be a pretty cool thing to have though, my opinion anyway :/

And to be honest, I would be wondering how the hell did this base on Ceres have so much Commanders, as though it was a veterans party (and the fact that having the name Grineer Commander Commander probably would not help matters as well). 

 

I mean, it would be rather silly to store all the Commanders in one place, ripe for killing. 

 

At least, that is what I would feel if this was implemented.

Oh no, ranks would be reserved for certain enemy types. i.e a Grineer Lancer would not be a Commander..

Yeah I know what you mean, it would be weird if there was a cluster fudge of ranks in high levels :S

That still somewhat annoys me a bit when I keep on fighting Grineer Lancer Sergeants in a ship in Saturn, for instance (I would be wondering, "Where the hell are all the privates that the Sergeants are supposed to lead into battle with gone?). 

 

Not to say that the idea is bad, but for players who do enjoy missions and such, it can crop up a bit of a problem (and the fact that it kind of makes the factions more dumb [not that we need more of it] due to them just sending high-ranking troops to die).

Hmm, I see what you mean...

 

Well I guess it won't work very well on simple side and then it becomes more hassle than it is worth :/
