We Have An Inbox For A Reason.......

why can't we send items through the inbox to our allies? or hell even.... other players in general? or..... just sending your friends a message explaining the whys your not going to be on in a few days so they can plan their raids accordingly?(if your a detrimental part of the mission plans) just things like that would add more functionality beyond a random "your actions have consequences" email or the occasional lotus message giving us an item.

I'd also like a trade thing like Steam has, where you give your trade partner the thing you want to sell, like if they go offline, they can open the inbox, give the payment, and the other person can accept the trade whenever they get back online.

 

 

I think it'd only work if your trade partner had to go, or you just read their trade forum post.

Just because its called an inbox doesn't particularly mean it was coded to work like an actual inbox.  Not that its a bad idea. though since trading has limitation sending through the inbox would be a hassle and probably not very useful.

 

As far as messaging people in the situation you described, it would be simpler for them to set up a personal note system connected to your name that friends can look at when they click on your name in friends list or clan/alliance.  Sort of like the clan message of the day thing.
