Hello well i guess i'm not alone to have the "Error_internet_connection_reset".

I hope you'll fix definitly  all your current problems as much as for us, the players that can't play, as for yourselves Digital Extremes employees, because you have more work and win less money because of that .

I'm develloper myself and i know that problems can pile up.

 

Thanks for your work you're doing, you've done, and you'll do.

There are a few things i'd like to write in 3 sections.

 

Section one - directed to the game staff.

 

I'm a mature player (over 30 years of age) working in a place where customer service is something we work on to be good, and i have to say your customer service i've seen on the part of support is very good, and i'm well satisfied with it. Unfortunately the public part of it isn't as much. I appreciate you take the time to post YET AGAIN that you know of the issues, but as much as that would be ok and understandable on the first day, it's not on the next and following days.

 

WE the player base and every single ONE of us in separate would like to know SPECIFICALLY what is the issue at hand. I know it's sometimes not viable to disclose information as it may hurt the investigation in progress. Still it's something we should be told of even if in the form of a slightest hint. Like i don't know, we're beeing DDoSed and we're working on it. Next post could say, we've pinpointed one of the weak spots, we are working on finding and fixing the rest. Yet another could say the DDoS bot changed patterns of activity, and so on. ANY closer info makes us more understanding to you, and releases at least some of the steam players build up.

 

Another thing is, there could and should be 2 separate posts, 1 which is locked and only the staff can post updates in, and a second one for playerbase to vent, give hints, ask for support etc.

 

 

Section two - directed to the playerbase.

 

If possible (bah, it is possible but some obviously don't want to) guys THINK before you post. If there is a post about a maintainance that's given time other then your region use google or other site to find out if it's already past or not.

 

DON'T BE LAZY.

 

A few of the posts here just made me facepalm, and what a facepalm it was... Really guys... If you can't make a sensible post DON'T make one at all. And if posting try to be creative and understanding. We all are aggrevated by this. We all don't like the situation at hand.

 

Try to give constructive feedback the staff can work on (which in my case will be the third section of this post), rather then just flaming or posting the obvious that we have issues still.

 

 

Section three - experienced issues and possible solutions.

 

Leaving the game after a finished mission sometimes shows me a message on a WF based background  that i cannot join a session because it's already started (I'M GUESSING this is a translation mistake, i wrote this from memory translating back to english from polish). Ok, got it again, the messge reads "Nie moglem sie polaczyc. Sesję gry jest już dostępny", which translates to something like "I couldn't connect. Game session is already available". After clicking ok, i end up with a black screen that just stays there, i have to ALT+F4 out of the game. I am not sure if i get the rewards for such a mission, but i think i do. The message should read something like "Cannot join session, because it has already terminated", which is obviously false, as i'm trying to return to the ship (posibly in a group with which i was doing the mission). If anyone can teach me how to post images in the forum i'd be much oblidged.  Thank you -CM-SASMcBride Here's the image:

Another issue i've been experiencing are major lags while in the ship doing mod swapping/fusing etc. Often i've had like 20-30 seconds waits before it exits the screen for me, sometimes even logs me out.

 

Yet another issue is the chat disconnects me from the server side, after a moment i usually get reconnected. I'm guessing this is one of the measures made to avoid DDoS (if that's the case). The message is in english despite having polish set as game language. If it's possible i'd love to know where i can contribute with translations, thanks.

 

Also, what i've been experiencing is joining the games since U14 is a bit buggy, it often leaves me joining a session in progress for ever, this was supposedly fixed in the last patch, but... it still happens (not sure if it's related to this issue though, probably not).

 

Another thing is the void and running missions there, the HOST should NOT be determined by who has the key, and starting the mission should not result in a fail in case the keybearer leaves the session. The key is lost anyhow if the objective has been reached, so why penalise others in the session.

 

As for saving rewards from a mission in case of server malfunction: STEAM users may have the advantage of "STEAM cloud" system, which could be used to store that data securely until the game can contact the server and transmit them. I know it's a bit abusive for those without STEAM or similar system, but... it's something to work on.

Login is not going well for me now, but when I am  online me and friends I play with have been having issues with disconnetions in the middle of games, trouble joining each others parties, and getting stuck on load screens. Sometimes one of us falls offline and it doesn't show to the rest of the party as well.

I just logged in and got this error message: 

 

DNS Lookup Failed
 
It appears that your DNS is malfunctioning.
DNS (Domain Name Service) is a web service that translates a website's name into its numeric internet address. When Warframe attempts this step in the connection process your system is unable to communicate correctly.
This can be caused by your Internet Service Provider's DNS servers malfunctioning or a faulty Proxy/VPN configuration.
 
Please try the following to resolve this:
 
Reboot your computer / console, modem and router. 
 
If you are still experiencing this issue, please contact your Internet Service Provider.
 
If this problem persists, changing your PC's DNS settings to use the Google Public DNS might help. For a step by step guide about how to do this, please follow this link to the Google doc manual: Google Public DNS

Do we have any idea what the problem actually is? I mean, I know plenty of people are saying DDoS and what have you but I'm yet to see any proof that it's still a DDoS attack, have we actually heard anything fron DE yet that I've missed, or is it just speculation? Also,is there any idea on when the problem might be resolved?

Before this happened, i was doing a survival on Phobos when, at the end, it went to the loading screen, and then back into the match even though it was over. My character (ASH) used the latter part of a slide attack with my Dakra Prime and then stood still and i was unable to move at all though still in the game. After about 20 seconds, the game kicked me to the main Login Screen. And now i cannot log in. I don't know if this is because of the odd glitch in the game or because of the internet maintenance you guys are currently running. Just thought id post this just in case.

A lot of folks dun ever use/read or know about the existence of forums, so they wont know theres a planned outage or Ddos attack ,  hell most don't even know what one is.   I myself didn't know about the planned maintenance downtime , not that it affected me here , was tucked up in bed.  But these Ddos attacks do usually bite into my playtime.  

 

@DE specifically  ::  Would it be possible to put some indicator/ notice on the launcher when things are not running as smooth as you'd like?

 

Maybe other stats , players online ,  unique log-ins this week?

 

PS  Still hard to log in and dun stay that way long

 

PPS   Still would very much like kitties next

Then likely YOUR ISP is failing at some point... READ WITH UNDERSTANDING. If using windows you can try using the repair option on the internet connection. Other than that, try what the message gave you, like restarting the hardware.

I can login finish a mission but when i am supposed to return to the ship, I get loged out and the progress is not saved...

 

Same thing happened to me three times today and twice yesterday, lost quite a few nice drops and some alert rewards thanks to that nonsense.

Hoping they get this fixed, not only connection problems, but ive been trying to rank up for 3 days (stillr ank 0) and everytime it bugs, crashes and then i have to wait another 24 hours to try again... Would love to rank up to the buy stuff with plat

Ok, so, server connection is spottier than an acne-riddled teen, my warframe is up and down more often than a Frenchman who lives next door to a brothel (login animation) and the situation is moving at approximately the same speed as a kangaroo in a ganja field. Yeah, I'm putting my Kubrow in stasis and coming back in a couple of days, I think.

EEErrr... now this is new, i tried to join in a game aaand... it shown me a timer of something like 599987 and counting down, to about 599983 and it threw me out to login screen. This happend after a prolonged login state which writing my previous post.

Right, so 15 minutes into a T2 Survival solo run just to stretch my Mirage's legs and level a bit, nearly to extraction, force logout. I lost EVERYTHING. I don't really care about the stuff like mods and whatnot, but I DO care about losing TONS OF AFFINITY FOR WEAPONS AND FRAMES THAT I'M STILL LEVELING. This makes five times I've lost affinity for Mirage and a few other weapons due to force logouts suddenly happening for no reason since U14 hit.

 

I'm done with this game for a while. I'll try it again when I hear of a new event or something. Hopefully, you guys will have these things fixed by then.

Right. Just me and me alone with this issue and nobody else.

 

Look dude. Seriously. All I was doing was sharing the error message I got with the Warframe community.

 

The problem isn't just on my end only. There are tons of other people besides just myself who are having issues.

 

MY ISP has nothing to do with it.

 

You want to try to make me out to be a stupid f'n moron who doesn't have the ability to read or comprehend anything. Well in that case, you ALSO need to do that with EVERY SINGLE OTHER forum member on here who is talking about this issue.

 

Don't just make this about ME and ME alone.
