Kubrow = Wasted Money?

I got myself a Kubrow when the patch hit, farmed the mission at least 30 times during the quest for it to even drop a single egg, spend all the credits I had on even getting the incubator to run, spent real money to rush the process a little and I was quite happy when I finally had a cool alternative to otherwise quite boring Sentinels.

Going by what some forum posts stated I thought id be fine for the next couple of days since I had to move irl, except I logged back in just to be greeted by a 'your kubrow has died' message.

The Kubrow feature is something new I understand and its gonna need some time to find the right balance I guess. But personally I am just upset more than anything. I spent real money on something thats taken from me because I dont have as much time as others have?...

On top of that, the initial process of just getting one kubrow left me without any money whatsoever and now I can start farming over 200k for dna stabilizers and another energy whatnot again in addition to repeating missions which are far to easy and repetitive just to get back to where I was before and that whole thing is gonna take me yet another week till it hatches...

I'm really not someone that usually rants on forums but I feel tricked for spending money on something that isnt permanent when I had no indication or warning that they would die if you didnt constantly take care of em for a while.

Well first of all, kubrows can't die, soo I'm not sure what happened.

Second of all, you can put your kubrow in stasis where It's health doesn't drain over time.

Third, If you're low on credits join rail invasions or do more voids runs. You can easily make 100k credits in a hour or less.

Only applicable to certain values of 'you' and time zones.

sorry for your plat and credit loss OP

often in warframe its wise to wait when new content comes out esp if it involves any investment because of all the bugs that need to be ironed out first

def submit a ticket with your situation, support staff are fantastic but it can take awhile for them to sift thru the avalanche of tickets

Well something seemed off anyway, my Kubrow was just fine a bit ago.

Also according to the pinned forum post they do get put into stasis when their health reaches a critical level.

@Master if this is really related to a hotfix causing a bug I might try my luck with a support ticket.

I can definitely understand why you would feel tricked.

This certainly isn't copyright law, but there's a pretty well-known standard for misleading consumers in the UK; it's known as the "moron in a hurry."

In practice, a situation is considered to be acceptably honest when only a "moron in a hurry" would be fooled. Historically, DE hasn't always passed this test with Warframe. Kubrows are a pretty salient example, but I'm reasonably certain that DE doesn't intend to blatantly rip people off.

In Canada, I want to say that the current standard is the "ordinary hurried purchase," and there definitely wasn't enough information available to early purchasers - not as I see it, at least. Again, I really don't think DE set out to create misleading descriptions for the items people were buying.

Either way, I have to sympathize with people who felt like they weren't able to make a well-informed purchase.

Kubrows can die. Don't keep it stable. See what happens.

You can easily make 100k credits in a hour or less.

If you ain't that hardcore, a single T3 game or Sechura (still nets you 20k) can let you farm out a stabilizer set easy peasy.

Do that once a day and you will have like 240k in 12 days.

Stabilizers only need 100k.

You only need to use stabilizers one every 2 days anyway.

That is 12 days.

And yes, I argue the base health isn't such a big issue.

Kubrows require link mods, pack leader and loyal companion rather than just an extra 20% base health (that 100% offers over 80%) which at best, small compared to what you can get out of Link.
