54 Points From Next Mastery Level

I didn't do the math, (which is my fault) but I knew I was only a weapon or so away from the the next rank. Last night we had our update and with it a new weapon! I knew for sure that I was about to rank up, so I grinded that bad boy out. After the smoke cleared and I hit 30 with it, I still need 54 points!? How can this be, why would DE set it up so the points are out of whack by 54 points!!!!

 

I have everything in the game other than the two vandals from closed beta, all four kubrows, etc... nothing left to do, but wait for the next weapon or whatever, so I can get 54 stinking points!

 

I love you DE, but your math skills are almost as bad as mine, which is something neither of us should be proud of.

I posted this week ago, that MR17 is possible with U14.

I have everyting in the game except the two vadals too and i hit 17? You are missing 300 points somehow. Check codex if you realy have every weapon with a star. Or if you finsihed unlocking all missions on the starmap, because those give exp too.

He didnt unlock all Planets nodes?

Planet nodes are the ones making the math a little odd, nothing wrong here really. Waiting for a few more updates and weps. And MR17 here I come.

Well, well, didn't know they added more to unlock. I'm slipping, thanks guys! Been farming too long, need to pick the head up once and a while and look through all the planets again.

Not mad at all really and that buying weapons thing is just a sad comment, sorry I support a company and game I love, shame on me, right!

 

After looking at the map, I see why I didn't unlock it all. The 2 I still need are the dark sector stuff, I don't play those at all, so I see why two of those still need to be unlocked, but no clue why they are making re-open parts of the map that I already had available to me before U14, but that's life.

No, I'm stupid. I found the issue, I had a handgun from a few months ago that I thought I had to 30, but of course was a couple levels shy. This is what happens when you have way too many guns that you forma and don't finish in a timely manner.

 

This doesn't clear the wonky math problem though. It just solves my wonky math problem. I am still wondering and worried that we are a year in and hundreds of items in and with exclusives and items that are no longer around because the market is viewed as "too cluddered" and we are only at mastery 17, with everything leveled to max. Thats only a couple levels over half way, this makes for a for long haul until any of us see 30, but scarier still is anyone who just started and thats not even thinking about people who start to play this after it is released.

 

After release they will not have access to quite a few things we as veterans have...

 

Anyhow, thanks for the help with the issue I didn't even know I had, thanks! I do feel bad for those new folks out there and the future new folks.

The exclusive is mainly just stronger versions of the stuff players can already have other than the retired content locked in the vault that can always be cracked open anytime.

New players are not really missing out on much other than events which they'll hopefully implement in the future.
