The Point Of Transmutation?

What is the point of transmuting mods, I'm just not sure what it does.

Transmute mods to get other ones. Very useful. Got all the ultra rare stances like that

to burn loads of credits just lying around...

you will have the chance to get exactly the one super-rare mod you were hoping for, and it happens more often than becoming a millionaer by playing the lottery, less often than warframe crashing...

It's a sink for credits and spare mods that you can't reliably trade off.

 

And if you're really lucky you'll transmute 4 rares and get something that's not ammo drum.

OK is what u get random or do u have to use certain mods to get what u want

It's all random if I'm not mistaken.

its all random, so it doesnt matter what mods you transmute, only their rarity has an effect on what you get

ex: i you transmute 4 rares you have a chance to get an another rare

worst case is when you get back one of the four mods you transmuted in the first place.

It's gambling. You may occasionally get something useful, but more often than not you're just burning credits and mods for no gain, leaving you to end up spending more time playing to recoup the loss. It's a way for DE to take advantage of OCD players to keep them playing longer.

Honestly its the only use for end game credits aside from kubrow cakes.

some say its random but in my experience not all rare mods are created equal. i have had best luck using nightmare mods
