New Cold Based Weapons.

I know that DE has shown us the concept of the corpus freeze ray, but I was wondering if they would be bringing out any other cold based weaponry?

It seems that pure cold damage is hard to come by and if I'm not mistaken, non-existant. I would love to see future weapons based on cold damage. What would be really cool is a weapon similar to our most recent "sword & board" but instead of fire do ice.

But I'm just ranting, so discuss, what kind of cold based weapon would you want to see? (if any)

A hammer with a special energy core that absorbs heat from enemy on impact. I'll name it "Entropy"!

i like this..

it absorbs heat on every strike and after a certain ammount of strikes can release all the stored thermal energy in one wave/blast/fireball

I kinda want an ice sniper. It would fire large icicles in a similar manner to the Vectis. It would have some bullet drop and it wouldn't be hit scan (that would make no sense). In my opinion, it would be more suitable for people that  like the challenge of bullet drop and non-hit scan weapons (The boltor line), but dislike the charge mechanic of bows.

An ice longsword (single sword), that is completely useless and will never be touched by anyone except hipsters until they release the dual version. Just like the ether sword, heat sword, and mire.

The Dread/Paris Prime still have about 9000dps on uncharged shots.

They are amazing weapons, but some people flat out dislike bows. I'm not one of those people, but I still believe it would be a decent concept and would make plenty of people happy. Also, we really haven't had a new sniper rifle in ages. Do you have any ideas on how I could make it a better concept?

Bullet drop but hitscan? Kind of like how they deal with bullets in the Battlefield series? IIRC the bulelts are hitscan but instead of a straight line, the "scan" is a parabola and the "hit" from the bullets is delayed slightly based on the distance. The benefit of this is that they don't have to program physics for projectiles and is probably faster is well. However, for the new sniper, I think we could just get rid of the "hit" delay altogether since it's a sniper rifle.

That would be different! It would be a a lot easier to program, and the parabola hit scan is a new mechanic that sounds very interesting. I also think, as an elemental weapon, it would have a decently high status chance. Maybe around 25% base?
