Staff Attack At Different Elevation Missing

When attacking with Amphis, I've had a lot of issues attacking mobs that nearby at a slightly higher or lower elevation.  This usually comes up when I'm fighting on stairs or down a slope.

 

It seems to be worse when attacking something slightly below, which is frustrating because you'd think the higher ground would be an advantage.  I usually end up resorting to a jump (area) attack or just pull out a gun.  Still, I thought it was worth mentioning.  Don't know if anyone else is having this issue, or even if it's a problem with other melee weapons.

Melee attacks in general have problems hitting enemies at different elevations, some stances more than others. DE needs to make the hitbox extend vertically when aiming up or down, just to improve the flow of combat.
