I feel like the trading should be increased to 4 items because that is what a set is most of the time.I was just going to buy a glaive prime set first trade went good then the kid didn't give me a second blade. He said you got trolled.

Then people who sell sets might get jipped when tries to sell set and then other player grabs the rare item and runs sometime making a person buy a set is worth the wait. The Idea of four items is perfect almost everything comes in fours card sets prime parts for frames and weapons

Have to agree, people who get scammed with the current system only have themselves to blame.

You can clearly see what is being offered and have to confirm to complete the trade.

People shouldnt give up all of the plat, items etc if the other person doesn't put up everything, split up trades if you are trading for more than 3 things.  If someone doesn't want to do it that way, walk away and find someone else who will, there are plenty reputible players in the game that make trades easy.

Only have themselves to blame?  Utter nonsense.  I'll continue to blame the unscrupulous bastards who don't live up to their word!  If you offer to buy a set of 4 and they agree, you shouldn't have to worry that they will put in three items and run off with the 4th.  Invariably it is that 4th item that is the most desired of the group.  So the buyer wants to see that item in the first three, but the unscrupulous seller holds it out and runs off after the first three are paid for.  Should have made sure it was included in the first three you say?  And what would stop an unscrupulous buyer from doing the same thing in reverse?  If 4 item sets can be sold then there should be 4 slots!

I think the real solution here would just to be allowed up to 5 items per trade (No prime exceeds the BP + x4 pieces so 5 is reasonable), problem solved.

I'm a R16 player, I'm used to dodging scammers and sifting through the BS and even I got scammed just recently, these scammers are relentless and will always find a way to gyp you.

I went to buy Ankryos Set, and he put the BP, a Blade and a Gauntlet up, so I though hey, he's a good guy to trade with - I put up 3/4 of the total plat... well yeah he took my platinum and left without selling me the next blade and gauntlet... I only gave him 3/4 of the plat on the first trade so I mean I did get SOME of my platinum's worth, but I still got shorted in the end and didn't have enough platinum left to buy the 2 pieces I needed, only way it was happening was if it had been in that set.

The problem most people seem to have with scammers is when it comes to broken up trades, simple fix.

i agree that the 3 slots isn't enough, but if people agree to buy something that requires 2 trades, then split the plat to suit the situation.

Maybe common sense isn't so common I suppose.

If you would of screen shotted it and showed him saying that support could of banned him and returned the items you lost

Pretty sure we all know the "standard operating procedure", but that is the problem. It is a passive way of dealing with the issue. Basically the DEV is telling people who got scammed "...well, if you got murdered take a selfie of yourself dying and send it to the police"

That's their "solution"

You have to look out for yourself, because no one else is going to do it for you.  We live in a world where you have to split trades so that means you need to educate yourself on which pieces are valuable and the fair price for each piece.

If the break down is 5p / 5p / 5p / 40p and the seller gives you the three 5p parts.  Simple... give him 15p.  If he doesn't want to do that then walk away and find a different trade partner.

EDIT::: Also, a better solution to the overall problem is not adding slots but packaging the primes sets into one item.  From the sellers perspective I could have 'Prime Sets' listed on the drop down where you select trade items.  The system enforces complete sets by only showing those that I actually have as *complete* sets.

The buyer has the confidence that it is indeed a complete set because it is enforced at the system level on the other side of the trade.
