Yes, it's time consuming. That's why DE also put them on market for those who doesn't want to wait so they can purchase them with platinum. I sure hope you didn't miss that little detail.

But do you not think that recently, there has been a bit too much emphasis on Clan Tech Weaponry?

 

I mean, the new Market weapons are fine and all, but it seems that there is a slight push towards players, influencing them to join clans?

Actually, like I mentioned in my earlier reply here in this thread, that's exactly the idea DE try to give players for thier question, like "Why should I join/make a clan for? what's the benefit of doing so besides gathering more friends in our own private group?"

 

And there you are, clantech weapons.

Just that? 

 

That does not really make a good clan of sorts. Players could just join in, grab the weapon blueprints, and leave (as one way). 

 

I think there should be something else that would actually encourage players to join up with a clan other than Clan Tech weapons (and more close social interaction, but some players do not care about that).

Yeah, there might be, but in the end, people in clan mostly access to their dojo only for trading or grabbing new research weapons anyway. I sometimes do some friendly sparring in Dueling Room too.

Until DE add more interesting way to connect people together, I'm afraid clantech is the only thing that can bring clanmates to their dojo, aside for trading purpose.

As for myself, I build my own Dojo for my own pleasure, and I'm totally fine with people joining in, grab the things and leave. I'm happy enough that my effort of playing this game over a year can be useful to anyone, not just for my own.

I think possible loyalty or clan interaction to get a small advantage somewhere would be nice.

clans are for having people to help you

 

A) finish clan research (all of it)

B) reduce the amount YOU have to donate (most of it)

C) have people to play with, who hopefully help you and give you discounted rates on things :3

 

 

as for tests for weapons....

 

Maybe along side mastery tests we could have weapons proficiency tests, where to unlock lets say... sniper class weapons, you gotta pass a regular test with the class of weapon youre currently qualified to use. however; using tests per weapon release... no thanks. thats pretty much a reverse grind wall which is potetially harder to do depending on the test/weapon. i prefer weapon and special weapon bp releases via events.
