Pvp And Pve Rails

Dear DE,
First of all Warframe evolved as a cooperative PVE shooter. Steve repeatedly stated that Warframe is going to be a PvE shooter. U14 brought with itself a PvP in the Dark Sectors on rails. It is too hard (impossible for some players) to welcome these changes. Community has divided on two parts - who had been waiting for PvP and who hate PvP and came to play against NPCs.We respect all views and offer to make different rails on each planet. One is for PvP, another one is for PvE. Thus each player, clan, alliance will be able to play somewhere they want. Nobody will be bored and tired of game.
DE team will get stats about PvE and PvP demand, get reviews about functionality of war modes on rails.

 

We ask all interested players to support our request, especially, warlords of clans and alliances.

Well prepare to get shouted down by angry PvP supporters, but I personally think there should be an optional PvE mode of the rail conflicts.

If anything at least for the sale of experiencing the new gamemode without going through the hassle of forcibly waiting for a full player group or the frustration of facing players with super OP gear.

Well this isn't the first time it has been suggested, and those previous times there have been plenty of people saying "No, it's PvP and it should stay like that!".

Of course I'm not refering to all PvP players but to those individuals who finally had their precious PvP mode and loathe at the idea of it having a PvE option, which do exist mind you.

If you read the forums regularly youd see this is much more common in PvE players

 

PvP players wanted more PvP and PvP haters wanted no PvP at all and they did the yelling

 

Find one post where a PvP player said no PvE at all whatsoever

 

Theyre reasonable

 

And since the topic is here

 

If therye going to cut down on the chances for PvP in conflicts then its only fair that non conflict  times makes the nodes entirely PvP based as well

 

Otherwise you cut the chances to play the new PvP in half

Well I agree that some changes would have to be needed from the PvE to the PvP version, since these are matches that affect the status of conflicts, but it's people preferences. Right now (and for a long time, very likely) PvP is a very unbalanced mess where the most OP gear wins, obviously this is a turnoff for a lot of people.

People who want PvP would still play PvP, those who don't want it were avoiding it anyways. Make it have less effect in the conflict if you want to but it os mostly for the sake of choice.

... and now current rail system cutting my chance to play old good PvE in zero. Summertime sadness...

The dark sectors have been changed more than a  few times and we knew this was coming

 

DE was almost prepping us for it when they introduced specters

That can be said about PvE as well

 

People who wanted PvP had one option

 

Now they have 2

 

PvE players have a full star chart along with the void,derelict, and dark sectors

 

Thats not including Events and PvE only awards and mods that are far greater than PvP

 

The balance is a bit tipped for PvE players to want more wouldnt you say?

Yeah, there seriously still needs to be a PvE option since now the rails are being dictated by a smaller number of player dictating the conflicts. There also needs to be some method to damage the attackers again. The current system is lopsided. Yeah defenders get perks... when they can defend. As is attackers can go in solo to distract what defenders there are and once the defenders are overrun full teams can hit and tear apart the rail. Which is very doable in a 12 hour time period.

It's funny you say that because usually what happens is the contrary. I am very interested in all topics related to PvP, and what i see is the exact opposite of what you just said. Vocal PvE Supporters shouting down at every PvP topic out there.

 

Back on topic, i think this is a good idea, so players that don't like PvP would have a second option to help their alliances.

There are tons of PvE options in comparison to PvP already

 

It hasnt been around for long and people are already wanting to cut it down

 

Alternatively, rather than a method to damage attackers have the PvE mission be something to repair the rail.

Id fear speed running PvE missions VS solo man hold off teams making it impossible to destroy a rail

What a shock, a PvE game has mostly PvE. Like it or not Dark Sector rail conflicts are something for the community to do, and there are sections (self included) that will never play a PvP mode. There has to be an option that makes these things acceptable to as much of the community as possible.

Go pick on another mission type that isnt PvP

While I'm fine with people having a PVP mode in conflicts since it works lorewise, I for one will not be playing it though I gave it a try. Definitely need a PVE option too, even if that just means solo mode as opposed to group PVE, hitting solo mode or friends only or whatever to disable matchmaking.

 

Especially so when some content in the form of mods such as decisive judgement are currently facing a PVP lock, as are the dark sector conflicts in general as theyre currently being dictated by the PVP community rather than both sides equally as many PVE players simply dont want to touch PVP.

For something that has an active impact on the community? That's a horrible stance. If they want to make nodes with a deathmatch or a planet that is constantly an active warzone of players vs players for the Corpus vs Grineer go for it. Let that place even give PvP exclusive cosmetics. The point is nothing that effects both PvE and PvP should only be playable by PvP.

With how some clans can be?

At least let us solo the mode that we have now. Everyone I joined is super laggy and everyone that joined my game is super laggy.

 

Really don't like the feeling of being a bad host.

At what point did I say there should be no PvP in DS in this thread? Nowhere. All I've done is suggest PvE missions to support the conflicts to go along with the PvP so a much of the community as possible can be involved.
