I think we should use hacking more often. For something else than lockdown or opening an hostage cell. It would be great to find safe with mods inside thaht we need to hack to have ascess. Or be able to hack a section of the corpus security to make the turrets attacks the ennemy instead of simply destroy the cameras. Or, it would be nice if there are teleporters at certains locations and we could hack them to go faster to a couple of locations on the map...

I like this idea. Hacking does seem to be a bit underused and feels as though is a great potential to become a neat little minigame without straining the fun out of the game. I mean, it's quick and easy enough to repeat (Though I must admit, I've failed it once or twice due to brain lag x.x). Rewards for hacking would be awesome too.

Would also be cool to say hack an armory that has a giant robot inside that will go on a rampage, giving you a distraction for say boss fights or when all hell breaks lose and you have to fight for your life when an entire area is on lockdown and enemies just spew from the ceiling.

Hacking is awesome and that would totally badass if these were special areas like armories that you could bust into. I do think you should be able to back out of Hacking... I get anxious being stuck to that thing for 10sec. even if it shocked me for backing out to quick and Corpus Walkers came out of the walls, it's better than being shot at while doing a damn puzzle haha

Also it would be great to actually be able to hack to make you disapear from the ship sensor. Because, once you get detected, the ennemes just won't stop poping from everywhere. If you could just hack this at leats it would be easy to take a rest of make a bathroom which makes my next suggestion.

If ennemies can put a lock-out on your room...why not you? We could hack and creat a lock out which makes stop the ennemies to enter in the room. This way you can take a pause from the mission or isolate ennemies or assasination targets...

Anyway the point is, hacking is opening tons of opportunities so better to take advantage of it :)

Hacking to go back to stealth is cool but not to totally control enemy population.

Maybe in Corpus missions you can hack some of the walker spawner things to hack a walker to fight for you for a bit and in Grineer missions you can hack a weapon dispenser and get a limited use weapon that has some special bonuses.

It would be awesome if there`s a kind of vault with very good mods in it and as soon as you try to unlock it by hacking a wave situation occurs because of an alarm. The one hacking has to solve about 10 difficult puzzles and during that time enemies barge in wave after wave and getting stronger every wave that gets defeated.

When the hacker fails to solve a puzzle the vault will seal itself out of the network making you unable to hack again.

It would create a tense situation where people have to protect the hacker and the hacker has his hands full getting the vault open.

That's a super good idea. Better than my simple of a plain old vault. It would add a great chalenge. But it could also be for artefact or rare blueprint not only for mods! It would make the scipher usefull because for now...i never needed once not even once...

Would be cool, but don't punnisht he players that harshly if the hacker fails.

Yeah but we need some kind of consequences. If they can just try until they breach the safe it would be somehow too easy...

Can someone tell me exactly how hacking works, and how to avoid the intruder detected alarms?

Hacking involves going to a control panel and playing a minigame where you form a geometric shape by rotating hexagons. It removes lockdowns, unlocks datamasses and cool stuff like that. Alarms are triggered when a target sees you and reaches a cantrol panel. You either kill everything before it sees you or avoid being seen.

Agree.

The first time I shot out a window and starting losing shields rapidly, realizing I had to make a quick hack under pressure was a memorable experience.

More hectic --> skillbased hacking opportunities would be a fine example of low-hanging fruit. I can imagine scenarios like being stuck in an airlock with green gas seeping out from nozzles in the ceiling...... or a fusion reactor becoming unstable due to a stray bullet, locking down the room and is mere moments away from complete mission failure if you screw up the hack.

Imagine also to need to hack terminal to beat box. For example, to give you supply or to close a giant door on a boss to be able to damage him star war style or open a door exiting on space to expulse a giant infested in the space Alien movie style :P

I want more hacking minigame. The current one is fine but it get repetitive after hours of playing/hacking.

And yeah, some sort of penalty should be placed in case of failed hack. You failed a hack? Sorry, dear Tenno, a security turret appeared in a grineer ship or a Grineer Delta force heading your way.

Also, more hacking utility is a good idea. Hack to create an alternate path through the ship is a good way to expand the gameplay. Also, harder hack should be placed on certain lockers with valuable mods/ingredients/consumables inside but player only has one shot hacking them.

there should be a tutorial on how to hack instead of just turning us loose into the world after the initial tutorial i am not sure if i missed something but this is just my thought on it a little walkthrough of how this works and what it does thank you

Hacking could definitely be in more places, such as getting into the room to get to the hostage during those missions. Equally useful as it could make it actually trigger the hostage event rather than the random times when everyone is present in the room and Lotus brings it up (and the dude tries to flee).

Expand more parts in hacking.

Disabling a trap or setting up a trap incase you going get

overrunning by 4 heavy units of a Greiner with napalms.

The joy...

I agree with hacking, It getting little bit annoying to hack open doors that they shut on you.

Hacking into doors to get some goodies... win win.
